I read they have good healthcare. Problem is they have 5000 specialised hospital beds for lung desease treatments (covid19). And the report above by italian doctor in Bergamo suggests, they are reaching breaking point.
We have a similar hotspot in western Germany like US has in Seattle. 2 deaths so far, 400 infected in that area, Heinsberg.

If this breaks loose and overwhelms healthcare systems we are going to see 3-5% case fatality rate pretty much everywhere with good healthcare, worse in countries with poor systems.

How many other European countries will pull the trigger on large scale quarantines before the week is over? Germany and France are about where Italy was a week ago. (Switzerland and Norway are worse off, per capita.) At this point they must know there’s no benefit to waiting.
