Peanut butter on pancakes is the truth and the light. Mmm, skippy.
I had pancakes tonight with apple and bacon.

Applesauce on pancakes, with butter and cinnamon
I have this added to my S&S:
It has arrived the last two months.
We get the large package at Costco. I’ve never seen it in short supply.
We do too. Very good butter. And we go for maple syrup too, even though it’s bad for me. I don’t have it often at least – freezer waffles mostly, once in awhile.

Our local Walmart pickup is currently booking a full week out at this point. We have an order to pick up this Thursday, the 14th, and we had to wait until 1:00 AM this past Friday to even get it. They seem to open up new slots at midnight, and open them in one hour blocks. So at midnight, they opened up the 7-8 AM slot, which is reserved for at risk customers. The 8-9 slot, which is what we always get, because we figure that’s the best way to avoid them being out of things (which has worked pretty greay for us so far), opened up at 1:00 AM. By the end of the day, all slots are generally gone, and you’d have to wait until midnight to 1:00 AM again. And this is in MAINE, of all places. We’re less rural Maine, sure, but not exactly big city.
We occasionally get an Instacart delivery from our local Shaws (which is my normal grocery store from the beforetimes), but Instacart’s prices are inflated (not even counting delivery fees and tips), so we only do it when there’s things we want from there that Walmart doesn’t sell. Those slots are pretty regularly available next day, even sometimes same day.

Random question, be honest!
If you’re staying home all day on your own (with no video calls taking place), do you still shower in the mornings and change into streetwear? Or is everyone just sticking to sweatpants and foregoing the shower/shave distractions…?
Gotta confess, the latter does get very tempting after a few days!
I shower every day because I don’t like the way I feel if I don’t. Shaving is another story — I haven’t shaved every day for years. Usually I go a couple of days and then get rid of the beard when it starts to irritate.
I’ve got into a routine of stretching and doing exercises in the morning too, which makes me feel a lot better. I’m the cook in my home so periodically I’m making food / cleaning up.
On the the hand, unless I have to go shopping or clean the place, the rest of the day seems like lost time. I started working again this week on my book after ignoring it for the last three months and managed to actually do some work on Monday and Tuesday. Nothing since then. I’ll try again today.
Yup, I tend to feel itchy/greasy if I don’t. Sometimes I can skip a day, but that’s about it.
I’m trying to shave every week or so just because it gets itchy/annoying and beyond that point it seems hard to keep the blades from jamming up. I’ve always had tough bead hair, so letting it get too out of hand just makes it harder when I do want to be rid of it.
Up until recently I was still on my normal teaching schedule, just virtual. Now it’s summer, which is always a time when I struggle to structure my time anyway, exacerbated by this situation. Still, there’s a ton of stuff that needs to be done - we’d planned to buy a house this summer and honestly still kind of need to, if we can figure out some way to do it safely. Prep for next year needs to be occupying a lot of my time as well.
At first, yeah. Not anymore. Shower twice a week. Shave at the same time. It’s handy because I can look in the mirror and gauge when I need to shower by the length of my whiskers.
If I go out into the garden I will still dress up and shower first thought (short runs such as throwing out some compost don’t count)
Shave when it gets itchy. I have let my dome grow out though; i’m not putting that level of effort into quarantine grooming.

Agreed with those who feel they need to shower every day since I feel disgusting if I don’t, and I usually shave twice a week. That’s the way I’ve done it for years so no real changes there.
I don’t always dress in a presentable manner, though, unless I’m actually planning to go somewhere before the day is over (or I’ll swap clothes right before I need to go out).
You guys are making me itchy. FINE I’ll go shower. It’s so dang cold…

Same for me, but also there’s the psychological aspect of it. I’d feel like a real slacker if I didn’t even shower.
In the house I’m in basketball shorts and t-shirt. On the rare occasion that I go out I put on real clothes. Haven’t worn a button-down shirt in months.
I definitely stick to more comfortable clothes, even on work calls. I’ve had numerous friends from work comment that they’re still freaking out that I wear t-shirts, as I’m normally that guy who always wears dress shirts to the office. I’m sitting during calls, so the pants situation is just a mystery.
I haven’t shaved in a little over two months, so the beard is also getting some notes of appreciation from work folks. Especially those whom I only see occasionally. It’s coming in mostly white, with touches of salt-n-pepper here and there. OK, I’ve shaved along the neckline a bit once a week or so. Gotta keep it presentable.
Going to have to figure out the haircut situation soon. I normally keep it pretty short, so I’ve been able to get away with waiting this long, but shit’s getting a bit out of control.
Yeah, I think I’ve worn “street clothes” a grand total of 3 times in the last month and a half - each time because of an essential outing. For anything and everything else I stick to sweats, PJ’s, and the like - why would I do anything else?
I shower as much as usual. As for my clothing, I have regular hang out clothes that I wear in the evenings (tee shirt, over jacket and jeans) and that’s what I’ve been wearing all day. Granted, it’s not a ton fancier than my “regular” work clothes (tee shirt, polo/dress shirt, and “work jeans”).

I don’t wear sweats. Normally jeans or shorts if it’s warm in the UK (Rarely) and a T-Shirt. I am finding I just rotate between the same few pairs of jeans and t-shirts as they come back from the wash. No effort made really
Only a Game had a segment this weekend about sports announcers finding alternative ways to practice their craft. Some of my favorites are from Nick Heath, rugby commentator.
