2 tables with people in a 75 seat restaurant.

2 waitresses in gloves and masks.

I felt considerably safer than when I’m shopping at Publix.

Glad to hear it’s being handled carefully.

I don’t foresee setting foot in a grocery store for at least another 6 months or so either.

So Guy Fieri and Bill Murray are having a nacho cook-off judged by Terry Crews and Shaquille O’Neil.

Until Coronavirus I would have suggested that was the least probable combination of words to ever exist in the English language.

Love Bill Murray. Hate Guy Fieri.

1 HVAC system circulating the same air.

Good luck.

Just like a grocery store with 5% of the people…

I realize some have avoided even shopping, but it’s not really possible for many.

The big difference is that nobody needs to take their masks off in grocery store.

So, I guess you only need to worry about getting the staff infected because no one eating will have masks on.

There are a few other differences. A grocery store has around 10X the air volume of a restaurant.

As a shopper you’re constantly moving. As a dinner diner you’re not.

Recent evidence shows that casual contact, like the kind you might get in a grocery store, is insufficient to contract the virus. It requires prolonged contact. Like the kind you get if you’re sitting in one place and the HVAC is blowing someone else’s air onto you.

There’s a published scientific study that shows this is exactly what happened at a restaurant in China. I’m not aware of any studies showing transmission in a grocery store.

Nor as a diner, even!

;-)

I use Swiftkey on my phone with auto-correct and often wonder why I even bother. I have to re-swipe almost every word. Often multiple times.

I’m that close or closer, but I hope this pandemic doesn’t last that long!

I have struggled to get on a schedule. I am living the hobo life, showering when I feel like it, not shaving, getting drive-thru because driving a few miles seems easier than grilling a sandwich at home.

My experience with Walmart Pickup was really great, will do it again if I need anything. Stopped across the street and got me some Arbys via the drive thru. I blame the Arby’s talk a week or so ago for getting me crazy hungry for it.

This is America. You never need to rationalize or defend going to Arby’s.

I assume the Jamocha shake is in your cupholder.

We just got the word. Even though the guidance for WFH ends 5/18, the earliest guess for people coming back is mid-end of June. However, even then it will start with any IS roles that can’t be done remotely, which is essentially none of us. The word “indefinitely” was used since we have been trucking right along.

You got the meats!

Did you get some Mozzarella Sticks? Arby’s has the best Mozzarella Sticks!
Damn. I may need to head over there myself.
When I go, I usually just get a Classic Roast Beef sandwich (with 2 bags of Arby’s Sauce) and a 4-piece Mozzarella Sticks.

2 for $6 beef and cheddar (toss the bottom buns and slap’m together), large curly fries, Jamocha shake. I enjoyed watching the birds eat the bottom buns as I ate in my car.

My only meal for the day, I am still full. :)
It was so good. It’s amazing how good fast food taste when you only eat it once every 2 or so weeks.

I do like the mozzarella sticks, but they do not like me. :P

I haven’t had curly fries from anywhere in a very long time…

That’s it. Time to fire up the ol’ Explorer and get over there.

This will be mine as well. I woke up at 11:00 am and still haven’t had anything to eat.
