Beyond the turn-of-the-century period outfits, this looks like a mediocre horror film. I hope I’m wrong and this is just a lame trailer.

I had the same reaction. Big names, standard ghost story. And those period sets and outfits looked like they could have been borrowed from The Woman in Black.

I wish filmmakers would learn the lesson of The Haunting (1963), that not seeing the ghost is a lot scarier than seeing the ghost.

I watch so many horror films that I’m fine with another mediocre one. :)
