From the three games (GTA, TW3, Deus Ex) I think they look more like CP or are inspirations, I would say GTA is the lesser one. The other two will be stronger inspirations. GTA similarity starts and ends at surface level: a criminal doing crime stuff in an open world city with vehicles.

I hope they take the simulation and reactivity aspects of GTA. The city just feels alive in that game, with the way everyone responds to the actions of things going on around them.

edit: lol the game is still on top of best sellers list on Steam, despite Steam doing a big sale right now.

So do reviewers have access to full game now? Albeit without the day one patch I guess.

They may well have a non-final patch. Nothing stopping CDPR from making additional changes over the next two weeks.

I saw the PR company responsible for CDPR notifying people that they could request keys for review, but they usually do that after codes have already been sent to major publications/sites, so it seems there are reviewers already playing the game, or about to.

I think they will have access from here to a pair of days.

Just posted on Twitter:

I personally think that means reviewers are playing the game as of now. “It’s-a-go”, in Mario lingo. ;)

I went to my GOG page and saw the Cyberpunk countdown. The possibility of exploring Night City in 2020 is starting to feel real for me.

New GPU urgency reaching critical levels!

I’ll confess I did the same today. ;)

I cannot wait to dive in! Less than 2 weeks to go!

It is odd but I was much more hyped for the Witcher 3…

I’ve been debating if I should play it at all this year, I am sure it will need patches. I wonder if they will do a Witcher 3 kinda set up where you play a few hours in one area, then they move you to the main game. I’d probably play to a point where I get the basics down, but the story leaves an opening to go explore before it really picks up. You know like an intermission. :)

Right now I am barely a quarter of the way into Valhalla. And still haven’t finished Horizon Zero Dawn. :|

Someone upthread mentioned it takes about 6h before you reach the title screen, so it does sound like they’re going the same route this time.

I think that was just the PS4 load time.

The “origin story” segment should take at least a few hours before you are unleashed on the city which seems like a logical transition point.

It sounds like 1 origin story starts outside the city while the other 2 are inside the city - though I imagine they will be somewhat self contained.

SAVAGE!

Might be the route I go, unless it really hooks me, then I’ll let my Ubi sub expire and pick up with Valhalla again later in 2021.
