Aw, sheeeeeet. Guess what’s coming on cable TV in a few minutes?

Johnny Mnemonic! Keanu in his OG cyberpunk form.

I would imagine the day one patch will be quite a bit smaller than the full game, so pre-loading would still be well worth it, especially on a slower connection.

Aw man, I’d kind of like to go back and watch that again.

“I can carry nearly eighty gigs of data in my head.”

I think the preload (at least on GOG) will include the day-1 patch. No reason not to. But I could be wrong, of course.

I forgot that Henry Rollins is in it. So cheesy good/bad.

I hope so but I could have sworn I saw somewhere listing it around 56GB for the patch alone.

Yeah I got it on Steam, ah well.

Well, the full game is 72GB so you’d save a little, if that’s indeed the case.

I’m in finance at a printer, and the color people being drowning in this kind of stuff.

Constantly amazed that they can riddle off the codes off the top of their head. I like to annoy them when I say that it all looks the same to me.

There will be a new patch on release day, in any case.

Au contraire.

I spent $50 on a PS4 disc for this game. My brother, who also owns a PS4, but doesn’t care about Day 1 hysteria then sent me $25 for his half. I’ll finish with the game in a few weeks (whether I reach the ending or not) and send it on to him. Can’t be done with digital copies. It’s really the only reason to by a disc, but it’s a good one.

Also, I get a map I can unfold and look at for a few minutes.

Yep, I misread the size of the day 1 patch thinking it was much larger than it really is! Must be me being blinded by the yellow updates!

This right here, the only reason I still buy physical games, and I still do on occasion.

Had there been any word in this playing decently in the PS4 compared to the PS5. I still have not snagged a 5 yet but really can’t wait to play. As usual.

The devs made a comparison vid. Check it out:

Heh, I actually did that when the boys were all living at home and we could pass the disc around. Anymore I just let the youngest one have my home sign-in, and get the equivalent. But I do get your point, an alienable ownership token has an independent value, but a downside in convenience and portability.

And I think I would have looked at that map about as much as I did the one for GTAIV. Yet there is that pang of missing out.

On topic: 59.47gb pre-load has started on Xbox, yay!

Not to be horribly pedantic, but that’s the PS4 Pro. I don’t think anyone has seen non-Pro PS4 gameplay yet?

I got their RDR2 book and thought it was pretty great.

Yeah, Piggyback is excellent, I pre-ordered this one without hesitation for my collection (and also hey, maybe to look something up, you never know).
