Man, after all this time… I’m actually thinking if I should wait two months more until I can get a rtx 3080, as also the game should be in much better state by then.

I agree. I think I would like to read that after I had a chance to experience the game myself.

You’re not wrong, but I hope that’s more about managing the expectations that I don’t personally have for the game. Trying to piece together these different impressions, I think I’m still in good shape, and I’m actually a little closer to preordering now than I was when I woke up this morning.

I used to read English language sources exclusively for a long time, but I’ve come to really appreciate Gamestar. Same goes for youtube videos, where Gamestar has some stellar content that I ignored for years.

“Characters taken out by sneak attacks don’t register as dead when they die and trigger combat states on the whole area if you walk in front of their dead corpse”

Lol.

Anybody else decide to hold off for a month or two on this one? I expect this to be great, so I will wait until they’re a few patches in before starting. Something-something marshmallow test.

Classic Dead Man’s Switch.

Cyborgs innit. Just because they’re dead doesn’t mean they’re not still recording.

I pay $75 and 1000Mbps Up and Down. The ISP situation really needs to be fixed, along with a bunch of other things.

I haven’t decided on if I’ll jump in right away or not. Originally I was going to play right at 6pm Wed when it unlocked for a bit and take Thursday off. I still may do that, I’m still taking Thursday off, but honestly I have other games and things I could be doing, including starting a new painting project, so maybe holding off isn’t the worst idea right now. I have a feeling when Wed comes I won’t be able to resist.

Worst case, maybe I roll up a character and play and see how it goes. I have a decent tolerance for bugs in big open world games, and it’s possible I won’t really find the experience that problematic. If I do, I could always bail and roll a new character and start over after the first major update.

I was waiting for the native PS5 version anyway. I’m also not chomping at the bit for it as I only like as opposed to love the Witcher games.

The three life paths seem like a good fit for giving it a try and restarting!

I think I’m going to hold off playing the game until a few patches hit.

Gamespot gave it 7/10 and the fragile contributors in the comment section have taken up the torches and pitchforks.
“Omg woke SJW review”
“Go back to the kitchen”
“They should have never let a woman review this game”

It looks like my instinct to hold was off was correct, going to give this a few weeks/months before I consider buying it.

If you all wait until the bugs are fixed, you’re left with merely a good RPG. If you play it now, you get the full experience of the lifecycle of Cyberpunk.

I’m in 100%.

Maybe the bugs are actually some kind of meta-commentary? ;)

I’m in day one as well. Then again, I enjoyed Daggerfall 1.0, falling into the “void” and finding my way out. It’s all about experiencing the full lifecycle for me.

Uh oh. I trust Kyle and I’m sure he was trying to be as nice as possible to not get hated on. I wish I could wait several months for this to get patched up.

I almost miss the days where I was overworked and didn’t have the time to play games. I usually didn’t follow the media and picked up the games 6/9/12 months later with mods, downloadable content, GOTY editions etc, and have a blast.

Now I’m sitting here hoovering up all media positive and negative that I can - grateful to play a game that I will probably enjoy much more if I just chilled out for a little while. I don’t think I’m going to be able to manage to sit on this (watches pre-load download).
