No patch for Steam yet?

$1400 CPU, $2000 GPU and they call that rig weak?

I don’t see why patch notes are necessary for a launch patch since none of us have been playing and wouldn’t have context for what was fixed. Moreover, they’d likely be full of spoilers.

My copy arrived today.

Cpu arrives Sunday.

Just need a gpu… and to build a computer

That was my thought as well.

If there’s no PC patch yet then I take it we won’t get benchmarks today.

Maybe I don’t want to see them…

Mine auto patched on GoG just a little while ago, so there is something for the PC version today

How do you see on GOG where something has been downloaded/patched earlier?

EDIT: I did a right-click and check for updates and it’s pulling something down now, but it’s just a slim progress bar, I miss Steam’s Downloads page.

Yeah it’s a little light on info imo

EDIT: For anyone else using GoG Galaxy

Man, John is really impressed:

“They massively undersold the visuals for this game. When this is running with ray racing enabled, it is quite possibly the single most impressive game I’ve seen on a PC to this date. The raw amount of detail, the quality of the lighting, the materials, the RT implementation… Everything. It’s unbelieveable”.

Oh FFS it was right there all along. Thanks!

The patch takes a REALLY long time to install. Presumably because they are patching a big encrypted mess.

The patch install didn’t seem too bad. However, if it was 7PM EST and I was waiting for the decrypt, I’d likely feel differently.

This is my thinking as well. Patch notes are likely to be either quest specific bug fixes or performance stuff for a game where none of us have experienced the pre-patch performance problems…yet. :)

The quest names alone are probably full of spoilers

“Oh, good, they fixed the lack of fog in the “The Death of so and so” quest. Great.”

Agreed, I was about to post that same thing. Now if their future patch notes are this short, well then we got an issue.

Meeeeeeeee :)

That fisheye effect would give me instant headaches

No Netflix advertises it specifically as DolbyVision. on my TV and Xbox One X it plays it as DolbyVision, on everything else, ps4pro, browser… its HDR.

Its noticeable with certain movies. the HDR pops out more and looks more natural overal… it really depends on movie/game.

Stranger Things is a HUGE difference. Its not the normal HDR its the Dolbyvision. I thought same t hing until i saw the difference.

First time this happens? For a single player, I mean
