Download has been faster for me in the past. Some games have taken a ridiculously long time to decrypt.
I bought Cyberpunk today but haven’t downloaded it yet. Going to wait to hear how the bugs are at first before using up my 2 hour refund window. :)
EDIT: Also, E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy was an… interesting game. I liked it a lot, but damn was it weird and buggy as hell.

Personally I’ve waited for CP77 for six years. And I sooooo want to play it now.
But it appears to be half-baked at this point. And so I will wait a bit longer.
And this is the first time I have waited! I am usually such a hype dive in kinda guy!
Then again, maybe I am just fine still working through Valhalla. IDK.
To me, Valhalla is a really good alternative for a while still if I find Cyberpunk too buggy or half baked on my One X. AC has been a constant blast. It kept me up playing until 2am last night. I’m fine passing the time with it as well if Cyberpunk clearly needs more time.
I’ll still give it a try because launch day hype though. :)
Good shout. Our polls dont handle numbers very well but in 7 days time (Dec 16th) my guesses for reviews are:
Steam: 91%
Metacritic (agg including consoles): 85%
Imma play this like I play all open games - slowly, poking around in whatever catches my fancy. If there are bugs that are overwhelming my ability to roam around and just…do stuff, I’ll put it on pause and go back to Breath of the Wild for a bit. I have a new baby and BotW is lovely when rocking the little guy while my wife rests.
Wrong thread for this but, well, whatever…
My character in Valhalla is so OP for my latest quest that it is comical (in a video game, REALLY?).
Then again, I don’t like to die. So maybe it is not so comical.
Again, IDK.
Cheers,
M.
Just noticed RPS saying they didn’t get a review copy. That site really has wandered off into irrelevance somehow.
I had the same thought when I saw that. Seems like the realities of the games journalism market really wore them down.
CONGRATS!
Way more important than any video game release.
Blessed are you. Merry Christmas!

Next question/poll:
You all playing at a Computer Monitor or TV?
I’m not which way I’m going. Will have to break out the long cables for tv if I go that way
I won’t be judging you or ANYONE who gets this game on day one as anyone other than what I was planning to do as well! Kinda jealous, actually.
For me, I’m just still into Valhalla and, after hearing about all the bugs supposedly in CP77, I’m happy to wait a bit.
And read more game play impressions from the rest of you all! Please bring them!

For another bit of Cyberpunk storytelling to get us hyped before we go jump off a cliff, listen to the first 9’ of this video (well, starting after the initial hi everyone).
Mike Pondsmith, the creator of Cyberpunk Red gives the background of the world Red takes place in. And that world is part of the game world we are about to enter.
He’s got the deep voice and the gravitas. It’s a cool welcome to bit.
(Mike Pondsmith is the cool guy in the middle of that thumbnail)
Second! Grats! This is way more important! All my very best to you and your new family! *
*get used to saying “I am so tired” for the next 18 years. :)
TV, of course. This is a couch and big screen game.

2 minutes to starship launch. Distraction from the wait.
That lines up with the PR guy’s vague comment about “streaming issues.”
I suspect they’ve bit off more than they can chew for last gen.
