I just finished the infamous on the rails car sequence and it’s not nearly as bad as in the videos. Really digging the gameplay so far.
And the raytracing is mindblowing, I’m speechless. I will totally play this with ~50-55 fps with gsync on because it still feels really smooth in combat.
Finally got it loaded and patched, etc. Only made it through the prologue and VR tutorial thing, before the first job. Really liking it so far, though the announcer/news guy doing the “Night City” spiel is annoying af.

Is my controller going to jiggle/rumble on the desk when I’m not using it?

Very likely, I haven’t seen a single game yet that would circumvent that.
Wow. The atmosphere in this game is second to none. It surpassed any expectations I could have had on that regard by a LOT.
And with the default settings (mostly High) it’s running pretty well on my GTX 1060 6GB at 1080p, which is another amazing surprise, especially for a game that looks this good. It isn’t solid 60 FPS all the time, but it’s mostly smooth enough to be playable and enjoyable.
As far as bugs go, I noticed a couple T-poses in Lizzie’s Bar, but that was it (so far).
I’m pretty impressed, though. As first impressions go, I don’t remember ever being blown away by a game the way I feel right now. I don’t see how the game can live up to the wonder of these first couple hours, but wow. What an achievement.

Curious how it’s running on the One X. Will be playing on my PS4 Pro in 150 minutes…I’m not too worried but seeing a few console videos made me nervous.
After doing the advanced combat tutorial, I already wonder if I fucked up with skill points. Brawling and sword fighting were a ton of fun and I don’t think I spec’d properly for melee combat.
I put a ton of points into Cool however. Something my parents never did for me.
I’m blown away. It’s immersive beyond what I expected it to be. I feel like I’m in NC. Beyond anything I have played.
If you take off your pants and look down you’re still wearing pants.
Literally unplayable.
I am T-40 ish here (I am PS4 styling for this one) and you have me PUMPED!!! So stoked!
Looks better than this shot.
I don’t believe you guys saying melee is fun. First person melee is never that great!

RT off (top) and on. It’s quite dramatic, more than I expected (lighting/illumination wise).
Bouncing between 64-72 fps in this scene here as I walk around. This is Ultra settings
@1440p w/DLSS set to auto.
RTX is freaking amazing. I wasn’t sure I would “notice” RTX before I got a card that could do it, and I’ve long since decided it’s always worth the performance hit. If a game can do RTX, I will have it on, most likely.

Oh yeah, I agree. But talking from a gameplay impacting perspective (being able to see enemies under poor lighting conditions for example) the difference is significantly higher than I thought it would be.
I found a bug! I found a bug! There was a guy in the bar eating a hamburger and when I talked to him, it flew down into the ground and then reappeared later.
I’m so excited.
[EDIT] A t-pose!
The review by SkillUp (mentioned a few times upstream) was amazingly thorough. It’s around an hour and I watched it all since I don’t have the game yet. Cyberpunk sounds like it’ll be an equal mix of incredible and frustrating. Plus it seems like there are some game systems that would benefit from some tuning.
The state of the game as it is now plus my lack of a powerful GPU makes me think I will enjoy the game a lot more if I wait a while to play it.
