According to the Skill Up video side jobs are actually a pretty big deal since they introduce you to lots of characters that can alter the story.

That’s fine with me since blitzing the main story is always kind of boring to me.

Are you using any kind of overlays, such as Afterburner? I had to disable it after 3 BSODs.

Yes. Some items are flagged as interactable but you can’t interact with them.

I’m getting decent performance but much-too-frequent hitching in both the visuals and the audio where the game will just stutter badly for 2 or 3 seconds before resuming smooth play. Happens probably once or twice per minute. Anyone know what might be causing this?

My CPU is getting old but I have a decent video card (RTX 2080). The SSD the game is installed on is possibly overstuffed but I don’t know if that could be causing it… it’s installed on a 2TB drive with 150GB free. I tried a variety of resolutions and graphics settings but the hitch was conisistently there.

It’s hard to say without seeing the cpu and gpu utilization. I’d recommend running something like MSI Afterburner to monitor both and see if cpu approaches 100% when you get stutters

I wish there was a way to bind raytracing toggle, at 1440p some areas are just too demanding on a 3060 and the fps drops down to ~33, which is borderline unplayable. For now I’ll probably just keep playing with it off because the game plays like an absolute dream at 100+. Thanks DLSS, probably the best tech I’ve seen in the last 20 years.

Game plays great so far on a 2060 w/ DLSS and even “moderate” ray tracing. Some hitching in longer sequences. Going to see if I cantweak some stuff. The lighting really is night and day even with moderate RT on.

No significant bugs. Jackie has walked through elevator doors twice. 1 T-Pose. Oh and that time my dick was swinging through my pants.

I’m surprised that with such a focus on fashion, CDPR puts a lot of effort in not allowing you to enjoy it.
