This whole thread has pretty much been a warning that the game has a lot of glitches and little bugs. That’s what one gets for buying it week 1, it seems.

It’s the main reason I’m still still playing AC: Valhalla (which, by now, is nice and stable). I’m giving CDPR a bit more time to get rid of the annoyances. That, and I’m loving that story.

You haven’t hit the main quest yet where your genital choice impacts which boss fight you need to complete.

Picking up small items sucks on mouse/keyboard also.

I may have stockholm syndrome with this game. I really think I love it, but yes, this is an issue I have pushed out of my mind as an actual problem. I can drop entire gangs in a matter of seconds but looting everything takes forever. Luckily I haven’t seen anything important be hard to pick up, it’s always some white junk item that doesn’t really need to be there like a guitar pick or ash tray.

@jpinard Just ignore that stuff you can’t pick up. For me it’s always vendor trash or a health potion that I already have 100 of. Don’t let it frustrate you. There will be plenty of other annoyances. If you’re the type of person that can’t brush off those things, it’s better not to play right now.

Anyway, do we know any more details about the gig quests? Are these generated indefinitely? Are they semi-randomized? I don’t recall any preview material about them.

I will probably stop doing them so I can focus on side quests, unless I’m right on top of them. I’m just curious.

I am not sure. I know I cleared one side quest in a location then a gig popped up there.

There are dozens of us! Dozens!!

(Also, welcome. Great name).

Well, my V ended up Porky Pigging it for a bit after a pair of pants with an armor upgrade bugged out and went invisible. Got nothing beyond that, though.

Driving is so horrible with the keyboard.

So I think I am done with guns, they do crap damage, while my Katana 2-3 hits and they are down everyone so far.

There are guns, and there are guns. I have an iconic pistol and a legendary pistol that put down bad guys in no time flat. The smart guns, within their range envelope, send a flurry of projectiles mostly into the bad guys’ heads. You do have to upgrade or replace them every five levels or so of course. And, um, have the perks for them. My melee is dismal because I have only one point in it, something in Blades I think.

It was all marketing hype unfortunately.

Ok, so maybe that is how the health regen works then? The perk just says that it enables health regen in combat, but nothing about 70%. They should put that in the description. Ill have to pay attention how hurt I am when it kicks in.

Depends on where you set that slider. Hey-o!

There is a 3 point Athletics perk that lets you regen to 100% and it is definitely worth taking from a QoL perspective.

I adore this game :) Bugs and all its an epic game. So many greta systems to dig into! I dont even hate the story too much!

Close to 20 hours in, I still haven’t found that many bugs, not even cosmetic ones. 3-4 hovering small objects, two T-poses one of them it only existed for a brief moment, one moment where I got stuck because of scripting but I fixed it by quicksaving and loading again. A pair of bugs more that disappeared by themselves later, one moment where a dialog icon appeared on the hud but there was no one to talk, and a icon in the minimap that got duplicated.

So around a cosmetic bug per 1.5 or 2 hours and only a serious bug that could be fixed. And 0 crashes.
Maybe I’m lucky.

What it’s much more common bug is the junk objects which can’t be picked up. Uggh!

I’m at 60 hours and have hit hardly any bugs besides typical open-world shit. People in the eating food animation but they’re not holding food. Cars spawning in the wrong area of the street. Cars at distance that poof when you get closer – although WD:L did this all the time. Not being able to loot the occasional junk item.

The biggest bug I’ve hit is buttons on elevators and doors sometimes don’t work. A reload fixes it.

This is an incredible game. Worthy of the hype and the best game of the last several years.

I mean (Romance spoiler) I broke Judy’s heart and I’m still upset about it. That’s how good the writing in this game is.

2 questions for you all.

  • What hacking or strength level do you need to be to open/break most common doors? Like those on trailer homes in the Nomad outland area?

  • Is there a faction penalty (or anything bad) for helping cops kill gang members? What about helping gang members kill cops? Is there any longstanding issue with just mowing down random city dwellers with your car outside of a police chase?

6-8? It keeps going up as you reach harder and harder areas of the game.

There is no faction system.

Killing cops is a very bad idea.

If a cop sees you commit a crime, you’ll get a wanted level. You have to evade them for it to go away, just like GTA.

Is it the same for both? Also, can hacking even open trailer park doors, or do you just need strength for them? Thanks for answering those questions!
