Considering the game was announced before the PS4 and Xbone were even released, I think it’s safe to conclude it had a troubled development cycle (at least one, possibly 2 overhauls?), which helps explain some of the issues people have been having.

There’s really no need to hide bodies as the AI is simplistic. I drop fools with my magic fire dot right in front of their buddies and they don’t do jack.

Haha, Jesus. That’s nuts.
Well, that’s another question. After I got the body-identified alert, nothing really seemed to happen… except I had to reload and try again. You see, some challenges come from the game while other challenges come from within.

I’ve seen Dum Dum mentioned several times and how he ruins the game for people. I haven’t gotten that far yet. Can someone tell me how to make sure he doesn’t ruin my game?
Seems like the refund statement was just more PR and purchases on Sony platforms will be especially constrained or not granted.
In the Q&A, though, the company clarified that it hasn’t arranged any special deals to get those refunds approved above and beyond the sellers’ standard policies.
Sony’s policy allows for refunds of PlayStation Network games within 14 days of purchase, but only “provided that you have not started downloading or streaming it.” Exceptions are only made if “the content is faulty,” and anecdotal reports suggest Sony does not generally think that exception is warranted for Cyberpunk 2077 .

Something about killing him early on. I saw it upthread.
On man. CDPR went from gamer darling to villain in a week.
It seems like Sony is being the dick there.
They knew it ran like trash on last gen consoles and released it anyway. CDPR is the baddie here.

The COVID-19 pandemic also impacted the usual testing plans for the title, CDPR said. “External testers working for external companies were not able to test the game from homes—they have test centers and if they’re not there, they’re not able to work,” Kiciński said.
Umm. This is kind of silly. It’s not as if they didn’t know there were problems. I mean every company under the moon is going to try and blame the global pandemic, I suppose, for any ill that befalls it, but it’s not as if they didn’t know there were problems here.
In a statement yesterday, CDPR said that players who were “not pleased with the game on your console, and don’t want to wait for updates” should reach out to retailers or digital platform holders for refunds. In the Q&A, though, the company clarified that it hasn’t arranged any special deals to get those refunds approved above and beyond the sellers’ standard policies.
Oh shit. Well here is a poster child for what not to do. Maybe we should donate some shovels so they can just keep digging that hole they’re in.
When they see a body they go on alert and start patrolling – instead of just standing there waiting for someone to come up behind them and snap their neck. They’ll also notice you sneaking a whole lot faster. It definitely makes clearing the outpost much more difficult.

So no one knows what you’re supposed to do when you stumble across a crime scene? If it just for flavor?
Hacking in this can be incredibly powerful. I’ve been dumping my points into perks that reduce RAM costs and increase Quickhack damage, and between Contagion, Short Circuit, and Overheat, I’m able to wipe out most locations (non-lethally!) without being seen–or often even stepping through the door.

Yes, you can mostly ignore them. There is the occasional gig that directs you to interact/approach a scene that you would normally give a wide berth. For instance, there is one gig in an ally where several NCPD are beating up a corpo. You actually have to walk up and physically talk to the police to start the gig.
I can’t usually tell which gang members are going to let me walk through (for instance in one of their shops/casinos), and which ones are going to be suspicious and attack me. This goes for the police as well.
True, but these guys aren’t just twitching, they are moving around like they are just woozy, not filled full of smart lead.
That hasn’t been my experience, oddly. They seem to find their ex-buddies very quickly when I drop them. I wonder if there is something in the context that makes the difference?
I’ve had this happen too. It seems that even if you’ve killed everyone, if a camera sees a body, it acts as if you’ve been detected even though there is no one to respond. Sometimes it even seems as if, if I kill them too fast, the game still thinks they are alive for spotting purposes. Weird.
Of course, I also appear bald in the mirror no matter what, so there’s that.
Yeah. In our just completed semester, my senior game studio students had to deal with remote testing protocols for their game projects. Over twenty teams, and sure, these are student projects with a tiny fraction of the size and scope and complexity of something like Cyberpunk, but, well, they’re students, with no budget to speak of, and a small college handling the technical aspects. Yet every one of those teams managed to get in significant testing, and the vertical slices that they produced at the end were generally very clean, bug-wise.
So, yeah, a company like CDP with its resources, even considering the scope of the problem, has little justification to plead “COVID made me do it.”
This is how I’m playing too. Provided you don’t run into a completely over-leveled group I can usually kill of everyone without stepping away from my car. Although I’m also using Synapse Burn, which is definitely lethal.

They do find them right away but it doesn’t count as having seen you, they don’t home in on your location. You can still snipe them with a magic fire DoT from a distance or even through a security camera. Only actually seeing you or shooting a gun seems to really alert everybody.
