Hard to totally screw it up anyhow. The game will be doable with just about any build, though you might have to try different approaches, burn more consumables, save scum more, or turn down the difficulty.
Mobility skills and implants seem to be good investments though, no matter what your build.
I don’t think I’ve encountered a situation that can’t be solved with hacking on Hard difficulty, though early on it might be rougher than a gun build.
Edit: Actually there was one quest that had four enemies that I couldn’t hack until I reloaded, and even then one of them still couldn’t be hacked. I’m putting that down to being bugged though.

Is there any practical way of finding just the actual side jobs, rather than the gigs, psychos, boxing matches, or somebody wanting to sell me a car? Since they have the same icon, the filtering does not help distinguish between them. And anyway a lot of the icons need to be visited to find out the type.
All the gigs I’ve seen are clearly authored content rather than procgen like somebody speculated upthread, but I still like it to be easier to find the meatier quests. (Since there have been suggestions that some of them feed into the main quest).

Agree, I wish I could remove all the various mob boss used car salesmen.

I think gigs are a ? with a hex around them vs side jobs are a circle with a ?.

My character is an absolute monster. Both in terms of effectiveness on very hard and just straight up being creepy. I roll up to a place, breach one person or camera and I can then kill everyone in a matter of seconds. How creepy would it be to be standing around and watching all your friends spontaneously ignite, instantly drop dead, go crazy, commit suicide, or detonate a grenade in their hands?
Need more aggressive net runners because it’s way too easy if they are not there or don’t do anything. More difficult areas I sometimes have to wait for RAM to regen, but that’s unusual, and also an excuse to have fun with the guns. Which I have zero points in, but seem plenty powerful as is.

The problem with using magic is it just isn’t as satisfying as popping gourds with a silenced sniper rifle. I wish that playstyle was possible in CP but it really, really isn’t.
I dunno, the rifle I got from Panam has proven very useful. Hell, I’ve used it as an assault rifle, even if it only has four rounds. Each round kills, and I cleared out the entire Arasaka warehouse level with it.

I really like this game, I always love architecture and this game have amazing places to visit.
It is on Normal. I take targets out with my silent pistol one sot quick save and repeat all the time.

Can you put a real sniping scope on a tech pistol or rifle? That would be an alternative.
There is a perk that removes distance damage penalties on pistols. It’s niiiiice.

Yes. The only feedback you get is a very brief red circle top center.

Thanks.
I’m going to have to slow down my mouse a bit. In battles it feels like I’m doing pirouettes on wet ice.

I feel like cyberpunk is intentionally built upon the 1980’s view of the future, rather than our view of the future (or certainly not a star trek view).
They talk a lot about stuff happening… In 2020… the stuff they describe happening in 2023 is clearly not stuff that’s going to be happening in 3 years.

Not a lot of progress in the 50 year gap either from when Silverhand assaulted Arasaka Tower.

Well, the Cyberpunk universe isn’t something CDPR came up with for the game. It’s an established thing that started way back in 1988. It is evolving and expanding but the core will always be old school - I hope.
Here’s a nice timeline and some background for anyone interested: https://cyberpunk.fandom.com/wiki/Timeline

I think its tied to a perk. The description says it reveals location of enemy netrunners trying to hack you
