So, I’m playing a stealth build. Pretty much non-lethal. I sneak around a lot, hack to Ping so I can track everyone’s movements, etc. (but don’t use any damage hacks, so far). Takedowns are becoming a problem, though- I’m encountering enemies that break my hold, then it’s either mind wipe or save scumming. Anyone know what to do about this? I’ve looked through the Perk lists and there doesn’t seem to be anything there, and ditto for the ripper docs…

Which ripperdoc has the double jump legs?

I’m pretty sure Viktor has them.

Whether or not you can grapple enemies depends on your level vs their level and your strength score, as far as I can tell.

In any case you are going to need to be able to fight some bosses that can’t be taken out with stealth, period. So keep that in mind.

I have a legendary monowhip since ages ago but I still haven’t find any mod to put in the two extra slots it has. Do they exist?

As a weapon, and not as a cyberware implant? I Have a monowhip as an implant, which is unfortunately not very good. I LOVED monofilament whips in Shadowrun and looked forward to it…but ITS GREEN! NOT RED! WTH!?!

No, as a cyberware. The implants can have mod slots. I have one with 3 slots, on the first one it’s just select the type of whip, i have to variations, physical or chemical. But the other two slots are empty. :(

I DID NOT KNOW THIS!

ahem - interesting. I must admit, I find the whole UI impressively confusing and obtuse!

It’s the same as the weapons and clothes, there are circles indicating if it has occupied or unused slots.

Yeah the mod system is bonkers. I have lots of mods for things I don’t have, and no mods for the things I do have. Some mods can be swapped out, some cannot. The utility of items with or without mods is sometimes hard to compare. In general, I find it hard to sort my stuff to find the best gear.

Time going BOOJ is great.

I have the cyberware that makes time go BOOJ for two seconds as soon as a bad guy notices me. It’s perfect for those moments when your perfectly sneaky approach to a target turns out to only be 99% perfect.

I thought mods were never swapped out, but would be destroyed if replaced. Are you thinking of weapon attachments?

There’s a perk in the crafting tree that saves any mods from destruction if the original piece of equipment is disassembled.

Yeah, I think the only ones which can be removed are things silencers and sights.

There is a fun pistol that scales to user level

booj?

Just lying there, or in a treasure chest with a marked combat encounter? I’ve been wondering if there’s anything to loot off the beaten path at all.

It’s a quest.

There’s also legendary razor arms by arasawa tower but they are a rarish spawn, I had to save scum to get it to show up. They are by an encounter NW of arasawa tower, the psycho. Save, loot chest, if its there you will see orange loot on top. Else, reload. Don’t attempt to fight psycho probably, you will die. Loot and run.

Don’t want to spoil too much of the gun, but it is ridiculous, having some points in the handgun skill makes this thing a killing machine and almost cheating. But man is it fun.

It’s the sound effect you hear when time elongates, either because you triggered it or some cyberware mod fired. Time slows down in response to an event and there’s a clear boooooj noise.

It’s wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey stuff.
