I’m a bit confused about Sony pulling the game…didn’t they do QA to sign off on the release in the first place? What was the bar then?

You can bet their third-party team is getting that exact question from Sony execs.
I imagine with so much financial pressure, it’s a bit of a guessing game as to how much buggy-jank or weak graphics or poor performance gamers will tolerate.
What’s so important about a simultaneous release on all platforms that they can’t just announce a delay for for the previous gen console versions? I guess same as above… $$$

Well, there isn’t a next gen version yet. They DID announce a delay of one platform – next gen consoles.
Just ran into a slew of bugs at the same time which were hilarious. First a T-pose in a bar should have tipped me off, but then I reloaded a checkpoint (after dying) during which an NPC was driving but the game would reload me into the driver’s seat anyway and I would literally see the NPC’s floating eyeballs while I was seated inside her body. Lastly I was told by an NPC to break a window, and when I tried it I got propelled 200 meters backwards.
I still love this game though!
Isn’t console cert just checking to see if the game bricks the console or any other obvious glaring issues. Console cert doesn’t dive into the nitty gritty of bugs that impact gameplay. Console certification is principally interested in making sure the game doesn’t negatively impact the system or OS; they aren’t really an additional QA pass.
Sony doesn’t really do refunds, so I imagine that they were getting a statistically unusual number of requests here which triggered a suit to look into the issue then corporate made a decision to pull the game from the store.
For those that want facial/hair/etc. changing stuff, wasn’t hair/beard modification in the initial 14 (or whatever) free DLCs that they put out for W3? I’m pretty sure it was. Probably something similar here.
As for the ‘Sony pulling it from the store’ kerfuffle, I’d be willing to bet that CDPR would have been more than happy any time in the last year or two to just ditch the OG versions of last gen and be Pro/X exclusive… but Sony and MS won’t let them do that. I wonder if they’ll let them do that in the near future? Or if Sony even has a way to do that with its store.
According to the CD Projekt Board of Directors call transcript, Sony allowed them to move forward with the release because CDPR promised to fix the game in time for launch.
Yes, that does sound insane, I know.

It’s like they’ve never encountered the gaming industry before.
Next gen version or not, it just seems unnecessary to pull it from the next gen console stores, unless they don’t have a way to separate it or something which… makes no sense. I thought the next gen version was just an upgrade patch.
I think the intent was to just keep improving whatever outfit you liked through the crafting system. Of course, the crafting system is mostly shit right now, but that’s easily fixed with a patch. Here’s hoping.

Is “extreme network interface” a good perk, or is it a waste? I don’t know how often and how hard it is to find nearby access points,
“Automatically highlights nearby access points”
Yes. It’s a primary source of income.

Should I invest two points in the one that increase the money pull by 50%?
This whole issue with older gen consoles sounds ridiculous.

I don’t think that’s true? Godfall is exclusive to PS5. As far as I’m aware, it’s only Microsoft published games that are going to target both current and last gen, it’s not a requirement other developers do so.

The official Piggyback guide book says either damaging enemies with grenades or via wall-piercing shots with the XP dependent on the damage caused. Also preforming actions which are gated by Technical Ability attribute requirement — which I assume means things like forcing doors to open.

Yeah, i think this is something that folks need to come to terms with.
At some point, you need to buy new hardware is you want to play new games.
We know this. This is how it’s always been.
It’s dumb that all the companies are trying to do this half assed generation transition.
