Also much better combat than fallout.
You know you are playing a RPG when finding a mine field is good news. Free XP!

It really hasn’t been for years, though, at least if you weren’t trying to chase the 4k dragon (which the older consoles are by and large not, I think). I built the PC I use 9 years ago, and other than swapping out for a 1060 two or three years ago, I haven’t changed a thing and while I haven’t tried to play Cyberpunk, it has run everything else I’ve tossed at it absolutely fine. The now last gen consoles are seven years old and they’ve grown considerably in terms of what they can achieve. Before that the consoles lasted 8 years. Maybe we’re finally starting to hit the “you have to upgrade every couple years if you want to keep up” upslope again, but I am skeptical. I think we had an early growth spurt and now things are considerably more leveled out in terms of technical progress.

My feeling is your PC probably would not play CP2077 well even at 1080p. Don’t buy it unless you upgrade or have a next-gen console.
My six year old CPU is basically fine but it was a top of the line CPU at the time, a 6700K, games are mostly GPU-bound, and I have a 3080 GPU.

Man I love this game. When I start playing I don’t want to stop. I ended up playing until 6:30 am last night :)

Yeah it really has that “just one more gig then I’ll go to sleep” quality to it.
I just got a smart assault rifle that shoots explosive bullets. I point my face in the vague direction of multiple enemies and they all die horribly.

Finished the game this morning which is more than I can say for The Witcher 3 or any Bethesda game (as much as I love the latter). Haven’t finished a game in a long time, actually.
Enjoyed it quite a bit but also like Bethesda games it could really use a polish and balance pass or three. I assume this game isn’t nearly as moddable as Skyrim so I’m not anticipating modders being able to pull off the awesome rebalance mods. Sounds like CDPR has a pretty good track record in terms of supporting their games and I think the DLC for the Witcher were well received so will be looking forward to what they end up releasing down the road.
So, my wife bought this for me as a surprise… For PS4.
She’s not a gamer, it was well intentioned. We are returning it and putting the money into a PS5 fund.

Charged jump or double jump better?

I like double jump better… both will achieve the same height, but double jump lets you cross horizontal gaps better. It’s also better as an escape button when you get surprise rushed by some crazy melee dude.
But what I recommend is you quicksave, and buy each and try them out just to see how they work.
I also prefer double jump, would be hard to go back to playing without it

I’m on there and I didn’t see that. Nice find. Thanks.
This is really good. I’m assuming that audio is from an official Cyberpunk trailer, since it’s the same as the trailer kristina posted. But this one is just deliciously funny juxtaposition of the audio with the visuals.

Just discovered you can zoom while in scanning mode.
Also if you pick up Skippy make sure to choose the opposite mode of what you really want. After 50 kills it will permanently switch to the other mode. Oh well, I didn’t really need a gun that always targeted the head.

Do you ever get new Cyberdecks for free, like in a mission? Or should I just beeline myself to save money to buy a decent one ASAP?
Charge jump has more height actually. Outside of combat it mostly comes down to whether you want more vertical or horizontal distance.
After trying them both, I prefered charge jump, but opinion online seems divided.
