Sure, but W3 is getting a free next-gen update this year, too, heh.
Yeah. CP 2077 has a lot of issues, but loading times aren’t one of them. It’s blazing fast even on my non-SSD hard drives.

Are you sure? I tried running off. 7200rpm hard drive without setting the option and texture swaps took forever on buildings.
I don’t remember it ever being that extreme - there was some difficulties here and there streaming textures, but it wasn’t too bad for me… but I’m very tolerant with that kind of stuff.
Difference between loading and streaming. CP2077 has a “slow drive mode” you will want to turn on if for some ungodly reason you’re running on a magnetic disk.
You’re killing me Smalls!
I was thinking the handguns in this game are really good… then I found a smart sniper rifle.
I never touched a gun in my playthrough. All katana all the way baby, steppin’ razor style!
I thought shooting and swords were cool until I found out I could just virus everyone to death.
For all the effort that went into these endings, I wish the options were a bit… clearer. I wanted to try harder after my first one, and the second has left me a bit say what?
… and then the third was somewhat cheerier :) 132 hours all told. Probably did everything except the boxing and purchasing every last car.
Roll on DLC. Hopefully some Blood and Wine scale expansions!
Edit: From the achievement it looks like only 35% of people complete the main story… Maybe it should have been shorter :/
Mesmerizing…
Absolutely not! Anyway, this completion stat is actually pretty good, most games have it lower. Witcher 3 is at 26%, and even the Resident Evil 7 I just played, which is linear and much shorter than Cyberpunk, is at 36%.
So you liked the game I take it? What would your review score be, out of ten.
That video does capture what the game does best, which IMO is the atmosphere of place, at least in a visual sense.
8 or 9 ish? I was very impressed with the first person movement and gunplay, plus Night City as a physical place (on a good RT system). And the scripted stuff was all good.
That genre needs to find a better way of alerting the player to missions than hitting up question marks around the map though. That makes sense in a pre industrial world, where riding over there actually is the fast option but some sort of dashboard of available jobs would be more fitting once communications technology has been invented :)

I read all of this and look at the videos and it occurs to me that, if this game was from some small developer and came out without all of the buildup, I’d want to play it. The expectations of a Witcher 3 (plus all patches and DLC) level of an experience in a Cyberpunk world, a fully developed open world, was almost too good to be true. And to be fair, RDR2 is a very open world, IMO, while Witcher 3 offered a lot of sidequests but wasn’t truly an open world in the sense of RDR2 or Skyrim, so I probably should not have expected CP to be a “dynamic” open world.
But I assume they will patch out all of the bugs and glitches, and I will buy it when they have a PS5 version. That world just looks like a place I want to explore.

This is actually kind of what my perspective was. Not that they are a small developer, but I didn’t have any attachment to the Witcher or any expectations for the game, really. I think that played a large part in why I was able to enjoy it more for what it was instead of being disappointed because it’s not what I was expecting, given the company’s pedigree.
It’s definitely flawed and isn’t on my GOTY list or anything, but I had fun with it at least and don’t regret the $60.
They will certainly fix the bugs, although I question whether it’ll ever run well on XboneS/base PS4. I have confidence they’ll add tons of content too.
So I finally picked this up and I’m enjoying it, but certain items don’t seem to be able to get picked up despite appearing to be lootable from the ground. They all have this symbol on them:

What does that mean?
They are stuck in map, should be lootable but aren’t.
My OCD couldn’t handle it after awhile, one of the reasons I haven’t returned to the game yet.
… the hell? I mean, I get bugs here and there, but ffs; if that’s the case then this is just a simple z axis adjustment, isn’t it?
