Cyberpsychos are like dudes on PCP; they aren’t representative of normal street thugs. The fights with the cybers can be ridiculous at times.

I use guns mainly for secondary purposes for stealth hits. The game really shines when you play like a cybermage, breaching and nethacking your way though the mobs. If you play that route, focus on intelligence and technical ability. Technical ability is a lot more useful than it sounds.
Guns being useless is probably an homage to Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines.
Stealth is often relatively easy even before you account for some easily available hacking spells. Melee is also absurdly powerful. Very few enemies attack you from afar or from higher ground, so almost all the time it’s quicker to run to them with some still pipe that probably deals 5x times damage compared to your shotgun. And with shotgun you have to get close anyway. I know because I’ve tried to play as a shotgun user but then discovered that even with no skillpoints spent on melee I obliterate enemies with a cheap steel pipe while my epic shotgun is useless by comparison.
There are two types of enemies with ridiculous healthbars - cyberpsychos and boxing opponents. You don’t have to engage either if you don’t want to.
Slipping in between Dying Light, Forbidden West, Warhammer 3 and Elden Ring, we have…
Can’t wait to hear details about the new delay!
Maybe there’ll be a roadmap for the roadmap!

What could be more cyberpunk than selling NFTs?
Great news! We’re delaying the release to implement an in-game blockchain!
Dammit I hated that in the game (I’m unfamiliar with the source material, so no idea if it exists there). I need a choom\preem removal mod for the game if I ever revisit it.
What’s actually expected? Next gen upgrade date?
4 PM CET is 7 AM Best Coast Time.

At the very minimum the next-gen upgrades, yes.
But really I’m hoping for a complete relaunch of the game, version 2.0, with major systems added and tons of new content, all free.
Yep, not that I hated the original but after playing some I’ve been kind of holding off for the inevitable ‘v2.0’ content dump.
Selfishly though, I wouldn’t be against a delay that shoved it out past the likes of Elden Ring and Elex 2, if they needed it! :)

I don’t know that it is inevitable. CDPR has done such things before, but their previous efforts were much better received. I’m hopeful, though.
I liked the OG game too, on a gaming PC not a base Xbone/PS4 of course. The trick is to take it for what it is, and not what the developers repeatedly promised.
Everyone online has been calling the next update 1.5, and saying with a strange confidence which seems to come from the ether that CDPR will be implementing fixes and cut content along with some FreeLC, but they won’t use “2.0” as it could indicate it’s a significantly different experience than 1.4.

That’s what I’d like to see, a full relaunch of version 2.0. If they don’t do that it’ll fade away, as most games do, and outside of the graphics on a gaming PC not be considered exceptional at all.
Which is fine, most games aren’t exceptional and I enjoyed it myself, but they clearly had higher aspirations.
The more I play Witcher 3, the more disappointed I get in Cyberpunk 2077 :). When I played Cyberpunk, on release, I had yet to play the Witcher 3 more than a cursory amount for a variety of reasons. Now that I have more hours (178) in the Witcher than I have in Cyberpunk (though not by much) I can definitely see why folks were a bit put out by the shape of the latter game at release.
If there are any sort of decent changes and fixes I might try it some more, though, as I enjoyed quite a bit of it despite the flaws.
I’m willing to bet you’ll be disappointed. Or at least if they do announce it, there will be no date attached.
