I think stusser meant at some point down the road, not on February 15th necessarily. As has been discussed upthread: that they’ll eventually relaunch and get a 2nd chance at a first impression.
I think it’s more likely with this than with their other enhanced editions, given how the game was received. They’d be looking to rebuild lost confidence and make good.
But yeah, I don’t think that’s what we’ll get with the next update, it’ll be further down the track.

Oh, yes, I don’t expect them to launch it tomorrow. I bet we see another small patch announced coming very soon and then the 2.0 relaunch in like the second half of the year.
Actually what would be cool is putting CP2077 on xCloud and allowing anyone owning a digital copy of the game to stream it from an Xbox Series X. Or maybe Google’s new Stadia replacement, give them a license there. If you haven’t seen CP2077 on a high-end gaming PC, it’s really something.

I’m actually more excited by the Witcher 3 remaster for XSX (good God, Microsoft, hire an outside company to name the next console, please) than the CP2077 remaster, but given that I shelved CP after about 10-15 hours to await the remaster, I’ll be happy for news on both.

Okay, someone updated the metadata, but is 1.3.1.0 the same version of CP2077 we’ve had for a while, or is this a title update?
Edit: 1.3.1.0 was what was installed on my external SSD, and it’s the version from September. Moving it to my internal storage in anticipation it will need to be there to receive an XSX update. So someone at MS or CDP just updated the metadata too soon flagging it as X|S enhanced.

Oh it’ll be an update. Xbone/PS4 CP2077 is pretty weak compared to PC. This should be closer with pretty much everything turned on other than ray-tracing, is my guess. More chooms wandering around, car traffic, etc.
All right, looks like it might finally be time to play some Cyberpunk!

Looks like I picked the right time to finish Guardians of the Galaxy.
That said, if the coming update is v1.5.0.0, realistically v1.5.1.0 in a few weeks will likely be the actual right time to play CP2077. :)
I’m hoping for the PS5 next-gen announcement so I can plan on another purchase for my lowly unused console. Sure, I have GT7 coming along, and I’ve played a couple other games on it, but I’ve played more on my PC in less than a month than I’ve played on the PS5 in a year.

Yeah, I barely play anything on the XSX, just bounced off a couple games on GP like The Medium and a bunch of other unmemorable stuff. Shrug, I’m a PC gamer.
Hopefully the update gives consoles something closer to the PC experience. They’ll miss out on ray-tracing (I assume) but everything else should be doable on their RTX2080-ish GPUs.

Updates are nice and all but I would much prefer some info (or release!) of expansion(s). By this time after Witcher 3 we already had Hearts of Stone AND Blood and Wine. Of course that was in pre-covid and pre-hacking and pre-fuckeduplaunch days, but still.
Yes, I totally expected for them to make a polished Enhanced Edition by this time and add some proper big DLC. Blood & Wine was way better than the original game in terms of gameplay so I looked forward to them adding some good gameplay to this amazing environment. As I understand they’ve only added some minor things like alternatives skins for characters and bug fixes. And in terms of bugs it’s still buggy, just on the level of your usual eurojunk game, not on the previous level of me being able to take any 10 minutes of gameplay video and write 3-20 bug reports depending on the amount of cutscenes.
The Xbox NL twitter account appears to have leaked that the nextgen version and patch launch today and there will a 5hr trial available.

Well, the girls are cute. That’s my only comment thus far.
Stream has started. They have redone the perk trees entirely. Hopefully the perks actually work this time.
