As mentioned in the event, the trailer contains scenes from the prologue.

Also announced PS4 to PS5 free upgrade in addition to the Xbox One to Series X free upgrade previously announced.

I would like to play this game, I think.

Great trailer, but not a fan of the music, E3 trailer remains unsurpassed.

Brain dance will no doubt be very well written and interesting, but I did feel deja vu, it was similar mechanically to stuff from Detroit. Or yes, witcher sense for 21st century.

Overall though, still by far best looking upcoming game and no doubt another masterpiece.

In the YT stream from Geoff put above, we will have new footage.

Press previews are showing up:

Thanks for the links. The PC Gamer one has extra gameplay footage that wasn’t in the trailer.

I think it’s b-roll that has been provided to the press. others are also using it.

I wish I could play around in this world, but without the NPCs. Not a fan of the people, but I like the setting.

Havent watched much of it, but it reminds me more of GTA than the Witcher, but since I enjoyed both, I’m not really fussed.

I think I’m the opposite. I just want to hang out with the npcs/companions with great voice acting/animations/mo-cap. I love the variety in their character designs so far.

I’m reading on Resetera some people disappointed about the game being more GTA than say, Blade Runner. Which is funny, the original tabletop RPG has always been like this, about criminals/mercs in the underbelly of the city doing jobs and heists, and ending in a firefight with everyone. Which of course it’s ‘like GTA’, GTA didn’t invent anything.

Then again, the same people complained of the slower segment showing off the braindance mechanics, proving they don’t know what they want.

Speculation on character origins:

In today’s video they show the player character staring into a mirror with a biker jacket and removing a patch. In the first article, it appears that might be the origin story for a player who selects the “badlands” background. Looks like you may have different starting positions and origin stories based on the background you select for a character rather than just being flavor text and a +1/-1 to a stat. Super cool. I’m sure all the origin stories blend together at some point ala Dragon Age, but this is a great hint on the variety/replay value of Cyberpunk.

EDIT: Lol, if I bothered to watch the PCGamer video embedded in the article I can see that it’s just that.

Anybody have a link to NCW without a bunch of other people talking? Nevermind, went to CDPR’s twitch

The characters in Witcher 3 were surprisingly real and relatable. I hope the dialogue in this game isn’t a constant string of slang and tropes. My reaction is probably due to my own personal perspective, so I’m trying to keep an open mind.

I hope the game world isn’t full of wolves and wild dogs that attack you as soon as you leave the main streets.

Heh, the corpo life path has a financial news reel integrated in the hud:
