Da Senator!

So who would win in a fight. A Hurricane, or Senator Ditka? But what if the Hurricane were named Hurricane Senator Ditka?

I think the answer you’re looking for is:
Barack Obama

As a huge Bears fan, and someone who loves the public persona of Da Coach, I hope to God that Da Coach does NOT run for senate.

I like to keep my football, religion, and politics completely seperate from each other, as George Halas, God Almighty, and the founding fathers intended.

To summarize :
Ditka -> Da Coach = :D
Ditka -> Senatorial Candidate = :? :oops: :cry: :x
Ditka -> Senator = :shock:

Maybe against another candidate, but Barak is apparently some sort of political Robert Redford-in-The-Natural.

Well, no doubt that these guys think that “Dikka” will beat Obama 2,395,000 to 2.

Serioiusly, though, I doubt the Republican power base in Illinois will be very enthusiastic about his candidacy. They’re already reeling from the Gov. Ryan scandals that cost them virtually every state-wide office in the last election and, of course, the Jack Ryan affair. The last thing they need is another Jesse Ventura.

Edit: Also, according to rumors I’ve heard today, Ditka isn’t registered to vote in Illinois, which could be a slight obstacle to his candidacy.

He’d have my vote.

But think of a Ditka candicacy fundraising dinner consisting of cheese fries, pork chops, and bratwurst!

Better change my vote to TUMS!

If a former Wrassler can become Governor of Minnesota…

A debate between Ditka and Obama would be fun.

Will Da Coach throw a clipboard at him?

Ditka announced tonight that he’s not going to run. Apparently there are a few skeletons in the closet.

Hidden under a pile of rib bones…

Oh well, it would have been interesting to say the least. I’m curious about the skeletons tho. The fact that he dealt away a whole draft for one player shouldn’t be held against him.

Just so I get this straight. Just asking now.

According to the republicans, the democrats are evil because celebrities back them. But for the republicans, when in doubt, run whatever celebrity you have backing you as the actual candidate? And that inexperience is a good thing for every political office but VP?

Chet

You just don’t get it, Chet. It’s not they have celebrities, per se, backing them. It’s that the Democrats’ celebrities are the evil, immoral ones who contribute to the downfall of western civilization. You know, like Rob Reiner and Paul Simon. Fine, upstanding all-American celebrities like Charlton Heston are just fine.

Charlton is not exactly upstanding nowadays…

Stem Cell research might help him out.

Andrew are you advocating killing the children to improve Heston’s health? :wink:

Maybe they should just let Heston shoot at some kids, that might shock him back into being his old self.
