But maybe you enjoy exploring the world because the difficulty makes it so the world is revealed to you bit by bit and a new area isn’t something you stroll into…you have to earn it.

Dipped my head in a lot of wax today. Dark Souls 3 main story is finally complete. Only took me like 6 years. :P

Dragon Peak area and the 2 DLCs remain. But… I am feeling the burnout again. :(

Back to Dying Light 2 for awhile I guess.

really tough area and one of the harder bosses…

Not as hard as in the Ringed City!

Congratulations! That’s a great accomplishment, I didn’t get even close yet. 6 years is really fast in today’s world of overflowing backlogs.

Mod that makes Dark Souls 3 more like Bloodborne?

Not appeal to me, but might be to others.

There are a few enemies who already had a Bloodborne feel. I think that is the same guy who has several mods for DS3 and ER. The Ascended and Randomizer mods.

I have seen mods for both that adds guns.

Looks lovely. I have to laugh at the idea of a Souls scholar publishing their work though.

Hum, that looks cool, but $180? They mention PDF and epub versions being sent to preorder customers; I wonder if those will be sold, too, at some point.

Vaati Vidya has held contests involving art work for Dark Souls and he sells some of it on his web site. There are YouTubes showing them. Some pretty cool stuff.

Looks like the same people are putting out a book of that, too:

And, it’s down again.

Why is Dark Souls 3 never on sale anymore?

I remember getting it from some humble bundle years ago and giving it away on Qt3 as I wasn’t interested in it at the time, and now that I do want to play it since completing Elden Ring early this year, it’s just never on sale.

I thought it was because of the servers being offline, but they have been up from the 24th of september and yet still excluded from the latest Bandai Namco steam sale.

Because fuck you?

I found with FromSoft games, the console versions are more likely to dip in price long before the digital PC version for whatever reason.

Because it’s worth the full price ;P

That does seem to be it. Get half the world hooked on Elden Ring, and then brandy about these RRP dark souls games in the steam store with nary a discount for the whole year. It’s sadistic.

Yeah, the 17.5 million units Elden Ring has sold so far at full price has given them a new kind of confidence even on their back catalogue, I think.

Is this specific to PC only? DS games go on sale regularly on Xbox. Sekiro, too, though it’s never gone below $29.99.

I bought all 3 DS games heavily discounted, rationalising that I’ll probably won’t get very far with them, so shouldn’t bother with full price. They ended up some of most played and enjoyed games ever (well at least 1 and 3 did), so when ER came I wanted to make it up to From, bought it for full price at launch and stopped playing shortly after the first castle.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see DS1-3 go on sale with Steam’s holiday sale. But FROM hates putting them on sale.
