Dear White People - A Netflix Original Series

Pretty good serialization of the film from 2014. It’s early Rashamon structure regarding a ‘black-face’ party feels a bit precious, but the series really hits its stride with the Coco episode. Great exploration of race in America today and a pretty solid show on top of it… The Reggie episode is fucking fierce.

Just starting this. Didn’t love the pilot, but it really picks up steam. Four episodes in and loving it. For me it’s not a binge show, but I’ll really enjoy slowly working through it

Watched it, plenty funny, not entirely sure it’s going anywhere particularly interesting though. Felt a bit sitcom-ish.

Season 2 helped.

I’m so woke I may never sleep again.

FINE I’ll go watch season 2.

I liked episode 2. I liked how it made the dean human. The dean in S1 was a caricature. I think it’s a bit of the Rashoman thing, where everyone sees different aspects.
