I am also really disappointed in IGN … because there are no more McGriddle ads!!
Fascinating. I wonder why the person responsible for this thought he’d get away with that.
Wasn’t this an issue for other mags like three months ago? What’s up with the lag time?
You aren’t looking closely enough…this one was pretty subtle:
Holy mother Sparky, you’re ridiculously good with that photoshop stuff. I love the small touches, like headmikes on the zombies.
Hey, I used to work with those guys!
I like how they’re the actual color of McDonalds meat.
Great job Sparky.
On the topic of IGN, I was scrolling through their new Max Payne 2 interview, when I noticed this:
IGNPC: Do you have any aspirations to implement Bullet Time in a multiplayer environment?
Sam Lake: No.
Guess it shows how much thought they put into their work. ;)
The wording on the SAFETY sign is funnier.

I can’t read that and am too lazy to download the pic and zoom in on it (which I could have probably done by now in the time it takes me to type this message)… what does the SAFETY sign say?
to their credit, they have put a lot of thought into this during Max 1… they stated a few times in interviews back then that bullet type and MP just don’t mix… with client/lag issues you cant effectively do bullet time during MP (apparently)…
I can’t see how you would do “bullet-time” in MP period. What happens when player does it? Do the other players have their game just slow to a crawl for several seconds with their reticule just not moving while the other guy blows them away? There’ just no balanced way its going to be done.

employees must wash hands before returning to work.
BT worked fine in Giants CK multiplayer. It had a limited radius, anyone but the person using it caught inside got slowed way the hell down. It worked just fine, although it was a magic spell, it did exactly the same thing as BT.
Now, maybe it ‘wouldn’t make sense’ since BT isn’t magic in Max Payne, but it really makes no sense anyways (he is not superhuman or anything, like matrix folks) so where’s the harm?
I’m not seeing any image in Sparky’s post and in a quote from it, there’s just a red X. Am I the only one not seeing it? I want to see! :(
Here, I mirrored it:
Thanks, Matt. :)
Great PS, Sparky!
