Yeah, that’s been my take on Erebus all along: he’s just so versatile. He has a solution to pretty much every single challenge another demigod might pose. But all I was doing against my friend last night was upgrading bite and spending the rest of my points on increasing nightwalker strength and numbers to keep plenty of meat shields around.
Also, it seems that if the armor penalty from being bitten drives you into the negative armor rating, which I think can easily happen if you get hit with an upgraded bite without having any sort of armor boost equipment, you take additional damage. Ouch.

Yeah, Erebus is kinda silly. He’s fast, he has a built-in teleport, bite is still a great skill that everyone should take, and he’s fantastic in 1 on 1 situations. I haven’t quite figured out what his real weakness is yet.

poison blood hurts your ally too, but it’s funny as hell watching yourself scores a kill even after you are dead.
It’s even funnier when you happen upon your own poison blood later in the game. I’m pretty sure I’ve done that, but I don’t think it’s ever killed me.
Now that would be worthy of a “play him off, keyboard cat” video!

I’d also like to take this time to mention that PC Gamer is my favorite game magazine, and while it is still very awesome, I sure miss TheVede. Also, I’ve always thought that TheVede was particularly insightful, handsome, and not losing his hair. Furthermore, sometimes it really seems like Tom Chick is actively trying to be a contrarian, the latest example being his inFAMOUS review, in which he calls out the game’s writing for being ‘uniformly horrible’, which couldn’t be further from the truth. I occasionally have dreams about beating Tom in a vicious slap-fight contest, which I secretly think he’d enjoy… :)
Does anyone know if you can download Demigod off of Impulse Anywhere after you’ve purchased the game? I noticed that most but not all of my purchased games show up as available and I’m not sure why some are missing.
Also whats the download size of the game it only lists that it requires “8 GB Available Hard Drive Space” but that can’t be the DL size, right? Why can’t this information be listed with all the other specs?
Yeah, and in case you’re wondering why the stupid questions I have a “5GB/month” download cap from my ISP (YES REALLY) Impulse Anywhere is a great way around this problem and should allow me to download the game from work and then install the file at home, but I need to know if Demigod will work with it.

So is the multiplayer stable enough for 4v4 or more matches, now that we have a lot more qt3ers picking it up I would love to get some games on. Even if I’m using my older video card.
Neither - Vista Ultimate 64. SP0: Not good. SP1 all patched up: Seemed fine while playing long, turtling AI matches. Of course, the heat the OS generated was scary. Deleted it and gave up on dual-booting at all (no Linux distro supports proper cooling and speedstepping on this chipset, either).

Well, I’m trying it with Windows 7 RC 1 64-bit. I’ve got it downloaded, installed, and I’m about to attempt my first gameplay.
I can’t seem to figure out how to add Friends with Impulse, putting names in the “Find a Friend” search box and clicking “find” isn’t resulting in anything happening at all.

This game is still frustrating for me to play, every game I play I get a partner who doesn’t know what they’re doing and it kills the game. Just had one now that at the last second he decides to choose rook after I did so we had 2 rooks against oak and erebus and we were utterly killed. They need to get an event system up asap as I can’t play pub games anymore.

I bought the game again based on reports that connections are better. They have improved quite a bit. Played two games last night. I went into the #qt3 channel but it was a ghost town.
we should probably schedule an event for the upcoming weekend, or this holiday. As I have completely forgotten about it due to my frusturation on the TF2 achievement grabbing frenzy.
