Another welcome update: you can now move items between vault and character using the companion app. You can also split resource stacks this way. Reddit says it also works through the website, and that it even works on characters you’re logged in with. Nice.

Yes, it’s crazy they didn’t announce that change, given that it’s AWESOME.

You no longer need to switch characters to swap equipment any more… You can pull stuff off of characters and put in the vault, and then immediately put into your own inventory. Hell, you don’t even need to go to the tower any more.

Unfortunately, I just picked up COD from the PSN store, and have kind of lost most of my interest in destiny for the time being.

They fully detailed in the weekly update shortly after it went live.

Also, Xur has the Heart of the Praxic Fire for Warlocks. It has a shitty stat roll, ignore that and buy it, it is the most fun exotic for a sunsinger. If you are even considering making a 'lock, get it. If you have one you owe it to yourself to get it.

Interesting. 13 Strange Coins though? I don’t think I can earn that. My wife is due home any minute, so I don’t think I could get the weekly strike done in time. And even then I’d be one Strange Coin short.

Meh. I’ve had Praxic Fire for ages and it has a few drawbacks. One is that you need a decent raid helmet to stay at 32 light and still use it, and those are kinda rare. The other issue with Praxic Fire is that Obsidian Mind is so amazingly awesome that I can’t imagine using anything else for my exotic these days.

That said, spewing out all those grenades is pretty fun, even if it lacks the utility of other gear.

Obsidian Mind for void builds, Praxic for Sunsinger

Last night I dreamt that our church had to keep a deacon on duty in the kitchen during services because that’s where Boomers kept spawning.

Time to lay off the Destiny Schmidt. ;)

Xûr is selling Red Death for the first time this weekend, FYI. If you’re not still playing enough to already know that, you probably don’t care too much, but it’s one of the only exotics left I don’t have, so I’m gonna grab it.

Red Death is pretty great for Crota (it heals you with kills), and it hits pretty hard.

Dumb question, but I’m fairly new to the late game: do all guns sold by Xur go for 13 strange coins?

I bought one for each system, is it better than Suros for Crota CP on hard?

No, Red Death is 23. Xûr’s prices are based on weapon class, primaries are 23, special and heavy are less (though I can’t remember exactly how much).

I haven’t done Crota on hard, but the main advantage of red death is that it heals you with every kill, so you just need to pop a thrall now and again and you’re back to full health, it doesn’t rely on a random proc.

Picked up a Red Death on the off chance I do Crota on hard again and noticed Zur was selling helmet engrams. I picked one up on a whim and actually got the Apotheosis Vail I was looking for. :)

Once I get Red Death, I’ll have all but 3 exotic weapons. I have all but 5 exotic pieces of armor, and don’t really care at all about the 5 I don’t have. I do kinda want to finish my weapon collection though.

Ugh, that means Necrochasm.

edit: Here’s a fun list. Exotic weapons I’ve acquired and literally never fired once.
Bad Juju
Dragon’s Breath
Invective
No Land Beyond
Plan C
Pocket Infinity
Truth
Universal Remote

Some because I don’t need them, some because I’ve just never gotten around to leveling them up. But yeah, I definitely don’t need more exotics.

…Just like you don’t need more legos…

You must fire No Land Beyond, because it’s like the matrix. No one can TELL you how bad No Land Beyond is. You need to see it for yourself.

Plan C is totally awesome though. As is Truth.

Glad to hear that about Truth. I got one a couple weeks ago, but haven’t actually started leveling it yet- in the middle of getting Invictus up right now, and it’s slow going. Truth certainly sounds interesting on paper…

Truth is apparently the best exotic rocket launcher for PvP, and not a bad choice for PvE. Insane tracking, proximity detonation, and huge blast radius are all great for PvP. The big caveat there is assuming you want your exotic to be a rocket launcher. Some people love that, some people would rather use their exotic for a primary or a special. I haven’t come to any strong conclusions personally.

In PvE, the Gjallarhorn is a better choice if you can get it, but Truth’s not bad. The drawbacks are that sometimes the wrong mob will trigger the proximity detonation, and there’s nothing that can top the focused damage of the Gjallarhorn’s wolfpack rounds for damage to a single target.
