Xur is just a trash collector. What that turns guardians into? hobos.
Is the last city of the planet, but theres trash on the floor (that nobody mind to clear, not even robots) even on the most sacred places.
Too small a faction for the other races to even consider paying them attention.
Humans compare the fallen to cockroaches. But even the fallen have big space ships and ways to teleport from one place to the other.
For the fallen, humans are less than cockroaches, they are like a vestige of the original planet population. If you blink, humans will be extinct when you open your eyes again and you will miss their last day.

I think I’m literally just still chasing that and the gjallarhorn at this point. It’s not going to make me better or anything as I said, I already done everything in the game including HM Crota. I’m just chasing the loot grind at this point. And while Destiny has been disappointing in many ways I have certainly gotten my money’s worth out of it and more.
Oh yeah, I think prankster needs a Gjallarhorn too.

Haven’t burned out here yet. 3 32s on X1, all with their own Gjallas, IBs, Hungers and 2 of 3 have Black Hammers. Working on raid primaries. 3 30s on PS4 working through Crota NM.
Kadath on both if you need a hand with anything.
I still play occasionally, but I’m level 8. Doesn’t seem like the kind of game I can just power through, all the missions seem kind of samey to me, so I take it just a little bit at a time. Kind of been distracted by AC Unity, which is better than I had been led to believe.
I finally dove into Dragon Age and Destiny is on the back burner until HoW hits. I have the gear to hit 32 but grinding the shards seems like a chore.
I heard the next expansion is in March 10, so I’m not sure where May came from. The source for that was an Activision shareholder powerpoint or something, summarized in this leak: http://www.ign.com/wikis/destiny/Rumors_and_Leaks

Hmmm. I feel like I was late to the party. Just as I got into the swing of things, mass burnout occurred. But that includes me. The game doesn’t seem to care if I have all the goodies as I have done nearly everything (minus Crota hard mode). This is sort of a turn off and makes the game feel like senseless chores more than entertainment. Can I grind with great repetition for the shards to get 32 or some exotics? Sure. But… Why? Just because I guess. And I might. It is weirdly tempting, but not nearly as fulfilling as say Diablo 3’s endgame grind.
Yeah. I still don’t have a Gjallahorn and a Hawkmoon and I only have the Scout rifle for the HM Crota Primary…but I’ve kinda stopped caring. None of that stuff will create a meaningful improvement to my character so I’m kinda meh on it.
I do want that LaFerrari in The Crew…and the “Chick Effect” is starting to set in on Driveclub as well. :)
The only thing I really miss about Destiny is playing with you guys.

I have the Necrochasm and let’s just say it isn’t worth being called an exotic. It’s pretty terrible.
Also the HoW date was from somebody datamining the game but Bungle has also said in their last weekly update it’s expected to drop in Q2.
Honestly Destiny’s expansion packs are pretty sad. $20 for 30 minutes worth of story missions and a raid. If they plan on selling that Comet expansion for $60 they should have equivalent content to the base game. If the leak I posted above is accurate, it’s only 1 new planet with 1 strike and 1 raid.
I had a discussion with a co-worker yesterday about the nonsense that is Evolve’s DLC, and he said I paid for Destiny’s expansions so I was a hypocrite. He’s right, and it made me angry with Bungie in retrospect. I bought the season pass before I saw how much content they’d be offering. Never again!
I played religiously for a couple months after launch, but I got discouraged by the fact that I could never land any RAID gear thanks to that POS RNG. “Hey, I’ve waited another week for Vault of Glass to reset; let’s see if I can get anything this time!” [hour later] “Great, more worthless boots. Gotta wait another week.”
FUCK YOU BUNGIE
Then Bungie basically invalidated two months of grind, and I lost all heart. It’s not worth it. I played a few times since then, just because I had family who wanted to play together online, but it’s dead to me otherwise.
I don’t know if this is a useful distinction, but my problem with Destiny’s “content” is more a consistent disappointment with the (weak) storytelling and (lack of) variety that I apply evenly across the game and the expansions.
Pre-expansion, I came to terms with that. It’s still disappointing when I compare what I imagined to what I got, but ultimately what I got was still very compelling and kept me playing for a long time.
Then the expansion dropped. As bullet points, you’re right that one raid and a few story missions look unimpressive/overpriced. But in light of what Destiny turned out to be—a grind that I really enjoy grinding—that one raid, handful of other missions, and the new gear and progression I’m chasing actually feel worth the money. Repetition is the core of the original game, and it’s the core of the expansion as well. If Destiny’s particular combat and progression hooks get into you, the repetition isn’t a problem unique to the expansions. That’s why I won’t have a problem buying future expansions with similar pricing and content.
That whole “comet” thing is a big question mark if it’s really going to cost as much as a full game. I think it’s too soon to be worried about it though.
Crafting and Skill Points…my kingdom for Crafting and Skill Points in the next Destiny expansion. I’m fine with grind, there just isn’t enough stuff to grind in Destiny. :)
Late last Saturday night, long after my wife had gone to bed, I fired up the PS4, but none of my friends were around. So, instead of logging into Destiny to grind out a few bounties, or run some pug strikes, I poured myself another whiskey and spent a good few hours playing The Crew. It’d been months since I played anything besides Destiny during the most cherished hours of my weekend. It felt strange, but refreshing.
I’m still playing Destiny whenever I can get a few people together for weeklies and raids. There are still meaningful things for me to chase (crota raid chests for my alts, HM primaries, a few exotics), but I’m not logging in everyday and doing a ton of solo stuff, bounties, pug strikes, etc.
I’m at the phase where I still play Destiny, but it’s not the only game I play. For me personally, this is a good place to be. One of the worst side-effects of playing MMOs or MMO-like games is the myopia. You miss out on all the other good games you could be playing.
Like Wholly, the fundamental hook of the game is still compelling as hell, and I foresee being on board for the long run. But, I’ve definitely hit the upper limits of what the game has to offer at this point, so a little break in the fever will be a good thing.

Xur has Icebreaker. Do whatever you can to get one if you don’t already have it.
Maybe I should buy four more, cause what else am I gonna spend these strange coins on?
