My quote has no spoilers in it. Unless declaring that it is possible to kill people is a spoiler.

Its not part of the story, nor does it effect the story, but I guess it could be considered some kind of spoiler so I has been edited.

Damn ninja editors. Can’t decide whether they should be ninjaing or editing.

Yes, yes they do, but it’s remarkably easy to miss those, even when you’re expecting them. Many sections of sewer look much alike.

Has anyone used a silencer on the assault rifle? The only reason I never bothered using the assault rifle other than for the intro was because the muzzle flash was blinding and made it difficult to aim with - I’m curious if attaching a silencer would suppress the muzzle flash at all.

Oh really? Haha, OK. No, I’ve had them shoot at me but if I back up 2 feet they can’t see me anymore and can’t find me. I’ve never had them throw grenades but I’m on the normal difficulty … maybe they do that on hard, I don’t know.

It does remove any muzzle flash in front of the iron sights. Have you considered putting a laser pointer on it? Once you have one of those, you can shoot from the hip with more accuracy than bringing up the iron sights, and the muzzle flash is a non-issue because it’s off to the side.

Next play-through I’m going to only use two weapons, the ones I barely used in the first one, the SMG and the crossbow and I’m going full combat; from what I can gather from my first play-through it’s going to require me to save up on those hacking thingies and I’m guessing ammo might be a problem early on.

Machine pistol ammunition is very common. Crossbow ammunition is fairly rare, but how often do you really snipe in this game? In any case, it won’t be difficult unless you avoid takedowns entirely, because my experience is that I hardly use weapons at all. Sneaking up on someone is usually as easy as shooting them, and rewards you far more XP.

Definitely playing this. :D

You can kill Sarif, Darrow, and Taggart du

The only problem I had with the crossbow was that I had a hard time getting headshots to register for the “Marksman” bonus. I’ve had no problem getting it with the Sniper Rifle, but for some reason, I rarely get it with the Crossbow. Maybe it was a range issue if the bolt drops as you get farther out, but that didn’t seem to be the case, as I would often get “Marksman” headshots if they were facing directly toward me.

Also, yeah, bolts are pretty rare compared to Sniper Rifle ammunition or Tranquilizer Darts.

The mandatory scope weapons can screw off. At least give me an iron sights, laser, or trajectory visualization. If you can internalize a motion sensor into your eyeball I would think integrating weapon optics would be a nice meaningful perk, depending on how well they kept your peripheral vision or how streamlined accessing it was.

There was an option to put crosshairs in your display.

Why are the weapon-specific mods SIX INVENTORY SPACES? Even with maxed out inventory, that is a pain in the ass. The revolver at 10mm ones are as big as their weapons. I got in the habit of just leaving all of the shit I want to bring back to Detroit somewhere on the level and going back there after everything is dead.

I will give them credit that it does give you an incentive to use your mines and grenades to clear inventory space.

I didn’t find it that hard to deal with the weapon mods. This isn’t a game about collecting loot so you make money. Instead, I dropped something to make room to pick up the mod, applied it to the weapon I wanted to, and picked up the item earlier dropped.

Note that I was talking about weapon-specific mods. The ones that only work for a specific weapon. And who said anything about selling them? If you are in another area and don’t have the weapon on that mission but want to try it out later, you have to lug the six-space thing back to Detroit. I have two of these right now.

Every other mod goes on my 10mm unless I already have it maxed out.

I guess I really didn’t approach the game that way. I carried what I wanted to keep and didn’t bother with the rest. The way the game is structured hardly seemed conducive to the idea of stockpiling stuff back at the apartment or wherever with the idea you might get to change it out anytime soon. Especially since many of the story missions just run right after each other and into the next.

Ultimately the inventory forces you to make decisions. Decisions about what to carry and also about whether to spend augs on expanding it. I actually didn’t mind a game like that, especially given all the shooters and RPGs that let you carry around a ridiculous amount of junk with no penalties.

That’s really great and has nothing to do with anything I said. Well done.

If you want to be a jackass, go ahead. But if you are bitching about how you have to haul weapon mods around for guns that you aren’t carrying, then that’s exactly about how you are choosing to play the game. And my position is that I don’t think the game was designed to play that way and thats why it penalizes you. You can indicate that you don’t agree without becoming personal and childish about it.
