Deus Ex: Human Revolution’s Director’s Cut edition will be released for Wii U, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC on October 22.

Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be any mention of a discount for current owners of the game.

There is also a new trailer showing off the second screen features (in this case, on the Wii U gamepad): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o2V0WediEQw

When the game launches, players will have the opportunity to experience Human Revolution in a new and unique way through SmartGlass, the PSVita and the Wii U GamePad.

But no real mention of the changes to boss fights.

That’s already been discussed and confirmed multiple times.

True. I just thought it was interesting the video mentioning the new game features like Dev Commentary, Grenade Throwback and so on didn’t mention the reworked boss fights.

They are mentioned on the game page though: http://www.deusex.com/directorscut

And demonstrated in the August gameplay video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_UbXvSdJ6vA

The prices have been revealed, and they actually seem reasonable. http://eu.square-enix.com/en/blog/dxhr-–-director’s-cut-pc-digital-release-details

$20 if you own nothing
$10 if you just own the base game
$5 if you own the Missing Link DLC

The upgrades are Steam only, so console owners are out of luck.

Ok, that’s not bad. I picked up Missing Link in a too-cheap-not-to-buy-it Steam sale, so $5 for me.

Hey, nice! Worth five bucks.

Yeah, that might be worth a third playthrough.

Nice! Might have to fire that up again - I picked up the (originally pre-order bonus) DLC intending to do a second play through, but haven’t gotten around to it yet. Perfect!

Wow, not a bad deal. Looking forward to replaying this for the, uh, 8th or 9th time :).

Director’s Cut is available on Steam.

Damn European release delays. Looking forward to a replay of this and seeing the new boss battles.

Yeah, I’ll be upgrading as well - I like this idea, since I was about to my first replay of the game, so its pretty awesome to get new stuff to go with it :-)

Yep. So frustrating. Especially for a DC of an older game. But hey, I’ve waited this long to complete Deus Ex 3. Guess it won’t make a huge difference…

I’m replaying it with the Director’s Cut. I had forgotten how good the game really is–I think I actually like it better this time than the first time (well, I did try it a second time but only got partway through Detroit before moving on). I’ve only done one boss fight, the first one, and yeah, it’s a LOT better, with more options and a not more interesting set up than originally.

But jeez, Adam’s chin is still a lethal weapon.

Finally got this today thanks to Europe release dates. It’s annoying how you have to download the entire game again. I have both the main game and the expansion, but it’s a full 18Gb to get the Director’s Cut. Gonna be a few days before I actually get to play thanks to a slow connection :(

I don’t think I enjoyed this enough to warrant a 2nd playthrough, but I am curious to hear how the boss fights have changed. Anyone get to any yet?

Yes. They opened them up, gave you more options in terms of movement and cover, as well as in how to solve the fights, and generally de-ickified them significantly. No need to dread them any more.

I find myself actually enjoying the game more this time around than the first; it really is a well put together game.

There’s also like eight hours of developer commentary, two-cell battery recharge, a new game+, and another texture pass. And Intel Screen Control, which might be a silly gimmick, but I just have to try it. $5 seems like a pretty fair price for all that.

I was excited for the two-cell battery recharge, but I’m still only getting one cell. Is that just a new upgrade somewhere I’m missing?

Are you playing on the highest difficulty level? If so, then you don’t get access to that feature.
