Ah, okay, that explains that then. That’s too bad - but then I wouldn’t want to play again on the easier difficulty, since I already beat it on medium. Thanks for the tip!
If anyone is getting mouse lag/stutter, the fix is the same as it was two years ago: turn off v-sync.
I did when I first installed the game. I fixed it when I installed the latest NVidia drivers (from just a few weeks ago) and rebooting. It could have just been the rebooting that fixed it, who can say? But it’s been running very slick for me since. And I have v-sync and everything else enabled.
You got lucky then. I installed latest nvidia drivers and made sure I had the latest Logitech mouse driver… rebooted… no dice… still gotta turn off v-sync for me. Not a big deal, just weird that after all the changes made to this game, it’s still an issue.
That Intel Mobile Phone App thingy looks pretty great, I just couldn’t find any link to the actual app?
Yeah, it says “Coming Soon” in the downloads section, and I can’t find more specific info than that anywhere. I might be able to get someone from Intel to clarify, but not until Monday at the earliest. (I work at Max PC.)
I generally hate when a company re-releases a game with a patch and calls it a “remastered version” or some other bullshit, but $5 was low enough for me to bite.
Isn’t this basically the Wii version?
All I know is I’m enjoying replaying this, and the re-jiggered boss fights are a nice touch. I liked it a lot when it came out, and I still like it a lot.

The commentary is nice for the most part but why don’t you remember that I have heard it when I quick load.

I generally hate it when people call something that is not a patch, a patch but since you didn’t bitch too much, I’ll let it slide.
Seriously, this wasn’t a “patch”. They reworked the boss fights, worked the DLC into the mission, and added director’s commentary. In no way is any of that a “patch”. What a sense of entitlement.
Read what you wrote. Tweaking existing bosses and fixing issues with a dlc they already sold me is a patch.
If you’re trying to argue that just because they added director’s commentary extra it makes it a “Remastered Version” and not a patch… well, i don’t know. I have no interest in them so if they split up the patch part and the comments part, i wouldn’t buy the comments DLC.
This is basically witcher 1/2 enhanced edition.

Generally speaking, patches fix bugs, they don’t add new swathes of content. The Witcher enhanced versions are fairly unusual.
so uh, what are the first augs to get to make ky life easier?
So content updates can’t fix existing issues or they get labeled as patches?

They didn’t tweak the boss fights, they had to entirely rework/redo them to add in other options for dealing with them. As noted elsewhere, patches fix bugs, not add new content.
Changing existing content.
It adds new features as well as fixing existing content. It’s less than an expansion pack but more than a patch. If you want, call it DLC and for €4.99 (around normal DLC pricing) I’m not complaining considering it fixes the main issue I had with what is a brilliant game.
