I DIDN’T KNOW THAT YOU BEAST

I don’t actually care about the spoiler since I never completed Deus Ex and don’t know who Tong is, but I thought the picture was pretty funny.

The 360 version was leaked already and is on pirate sites. Rumor is that retailers are breaking release dates for the console versions. You may be able to buy it at your local store today. PC version is not leaked as it needs to authenticate with steam.

Haven’t some games released pre-order bonus content as free DLC after the fact? It sure would be nice if they do that with the Tong mission, as I remember that sly motherfucker and would dig getting to roll with him. However, I can’t be arsed to preorder this one physically.

Considering that it’s Squeenix and how they treated Just Cause 2’s preorder DLC, we can reasonably expect to see the HR preorder DLC to show up at some point in the future with a price tag attached.
I hope that’s the case. I want that mission, but not badly enough to patronize Gamestop (especially with GMG’s price for the game).

Just bought the game through greenman. Apparently I’ll have to wait an extra day to receive my key to get the game off Steam?
Why would you think that? Where did you hear/read that?
The only info I had believed we had was this - http://greenmangaming.zendesk.com/entries/20370806-deus-ex-human-revolution-steam-key-region-locking
I was told they should be arriving in our mailbox this weekend.

I’m just going off of the release date listed on greenman (Aug 23) which is one day later than the release date on Steam.
Don’t forget that the European release date is on the 26th (Steam says it unlocks on the 25th). So even if you get the key early, it’ll probably not authenticate right away, since it is sourced from the UK.
Not if you are unlocking the game from a US Steam install. Well, depending on when they get the key to you.

Steam pre-loading has started…
Oh, wait a second. Tuesday is always the release date, that’s the 23rd. No idea why Steam would say Monday though? That’s odd.
If I was out and saw the console version or the PC version on the shelf early, I’d probably buy it. I’d love to be able to play it this weekend even though I realize that it’s not worth the extra money to play a couple of days early.
I wish greenman would get me my code. I’d love to have this preloaded by launch day so I don’t have to deal with the terribly slow download speeds Steam is sure to have due to the launch day rush.
Square/Enix included a note with press copies recommending that we play offline until August 23rd to make sure we don’t get smacked with any “platform specific enforcement measures aimed at reducing software piracy”. Uh…

That sounds like it could be trouble for people that somehow buy the game early legitimately as well as the filthy pirates.
They’ll probably install a camera and a turret over your work desk, too. Hope you have a few multitools handy!

You’re allocated only one multitool each. I hope you didn’t put all your points into swimming.

I think the word being bad is vanishingly unlikely.
