I try to leave. You pull me back in. Maybe I’ll gear up Crusader or something.
Nice to see them do this!
Average 1.9L an hour for the past few days.
Still not found any good ones. :)
Now, if they’d only fix the enchanting so you COULD have an option to avoid getting the same enchant you just enchanted away.
I’m often trying to get a better roll of the same enchantment.
Same, but sometimes I want to get something else and instead get the same thing I enchanted away 3-4 times until I am out of legendary shards and money :)
So you want it to read you mind? I’m not sure I get what you’re wishing for there. Are you asking for some sort of button that let’s you decide to get new only or new and old? That’s very different than how anything operates in the game, now.

It gets really depressing after about 15 re-rolls to be offered everything EXCEPT for the crit chance, damage or socket that everyone wants. That’s just not fun. If I spend 1 million in gold and gems, I think I should get something useful.
Drop rates are still low, which is compounded by low spawn rates. And then the item you craft can be ABSOLUTE crap. Are you seriously telling me a weapon that rolls with only vitality, % life, life on hit and gold pickup is decent? It often takes longer to craft a leg (if you even have the plans) than to find one…and both can be total crap.
I get the feeling that you REALLY hate RNGs at this point. That, I think, is a sign that you should step away from the game.
Nearly everything in the game is built around RNGs. RNGs sometimes hate you. That is (or so I’m told) what makes it more fun when they come out in your favor. You seem to want something more predictable.

Advising me to walk away seems irresponsible of you. My fellow gamers should help me love RNG!
Sure, to a point, RNG can be fun, but it can be greatly frustrating if taken too far. I just want a better balance. They’ve kept the 100% leg increase, which seems to show that my views on the current RNG being too harsh are shared by others.
As for crafting, come on now, it seriously sucks most of the time. Nothing like getting a great plan drop and then getting generally sucky rolls on 10+ of the same item after 20 hours of farming mats.

Sure, they could guarantee a drop on the crafting mats (considering the leg drop buff they probably should), but I still feel like you’re going to get a drop more often than not. I’ve crafted 9 or 10 Devastators and still haven’t gotten one that’s met my criteria, but there’s no way I spent 20 hours farming mats. Maybe three.
There’s some really good spots to reset in the main story instead of resetting bounties–Sewers of Caldeum is great for Aughilds and Capt Crimsons, for example.
There’s also a great community for material farming called “Mat Farming”. People call out the bosses that drop rare materials when they find them and you can join their games. You are, of course, encouraged to do the same. It definitely speeds things along.
I have had very little luck getting materials drops on my own. Playing hardcore, I don’t have many options of games to jump into–no one jumps into a HC game, or lets it be open to that, really–and it seems that the bosses that should drop stuff usually don’t. Of course, I’m probably doing it wrong. I can’t really tell which bosses need to be hit only in adventure mode to get the drops, which have to have a specified bounty, and which can just drop it randomly in adventure mode. I mean, I’ve killed Maghda a bajillion times and never got her material drop, for instance.
I’d like the mystic more if the cost didn’t increase. It’s like being punished for being punished by the RNG.
So…you’re offering me +10% damage to a spell no on uses yet you keep rolling up every single time, and the same stat I already have but at a lower value, and not only did you charge me for that privilege, but you’re going to charge me even more next time? How about instead you apologize and I don’t stab you in the face and start a candidate search for less shitty mystics.
Have you 'ported to the other towns? She’s the only Mystic game in all of Sanctuary. And this, folks, is why we have anti-trust laws.
Yes, I want it to read my mind. Obviously, when the choice is between a check box/option and a ‘mind read’ you go with the second.
So; Seems like Blizzard is now claiming ownership of your computers memory.
The developer for that HUD addon for Diablo3 has stopped development as he didn’t want his children to starve because of Blizzard and any legal precedent they’ll set once their lawyers and the $ they spend win any court case against the SC2 Maphackers.
I didn’t read the entire thing, but what’s the problem here? People are buying a $57 program from some guy that lets them cheat, and so Blizzard is suing this guy for breaching the ToS by creating software that lets folks cheat (and the selling it, no less). Seems pretty straightforward to me.
Yeah, the ToS is clear, and blue posts on the official D3 forums have all been unambiguously anti-mod from the start. The guy who was working on the D3 HUD addon may have had completely benign and uncommercial reasons for doing so, but he’s smart to stop.
I suppose. Could always release the source and put it up on bittorrent or something. I’d be much more concerned about being banned from the game than sued.
From a cursory reading they are trying to sue the developers of an application because it in parts goes against the “Terms of Service” for the Game.
Sure; the app in question is used by shitheads to cheat in online MP games but with their win here I’m sure they can use it against any other “TOS” breach they want to squash.
Which states for example:
-
““use any unauthorized third-party software that intercepts, “mines”, or otherwise collects information from or through any Game or the Service, including without limitation any software that reads areas of RAM used by any Game or the Service to store information about a character or a Game environment . . . ;””
-
“in whole or in part, copy or reproduce (except as provided herein), translate, reverse engineer, derive source code from, modify, disassemble, decompile, or create derivative works based on the Game…”
Etc.
Perhaps they’ll celebrate the upcoming victory and hungry children by releasing an Offline mode Diablo 3 (For the PC, the lesser of all remaining Evils seeing as the AMiGA cant run the game…) , in which case, all is forgiven I am sure.
