They did indeed, but you need a console to play it.

I’m sorry, I still don’t really see a lot to be as ā€œanti-establishmentā€ as your post is indicating I should be. You keep talking about children going hungry - maybe the people working on map hacks could instead invest their time and obvious skill into creating their own unique content that they themselves own (and they can later sue people for manipulating their games!) and/or get a real job and purchase food that way?

So, I guess nobody is fired up about the removal of legendary mats…? C’mon, there’s got to be somebody who just spent the last 2 months grinding for one mat, just got it, and now just got it patched out of existence? :)

Meh. They were more annoying than interesting. Need a mat?

  1. Start game, look for specific bounties
  2. If specific bounties present, run bounty. Hope it drops. If the bounty isn’t available, restart the game.
  3. Rinse. Wipe hands on pants. Repeat.

They were nothing but pure tedium, and I got more of that than I care for in my RoRG questing.

I wish they were more interesting. Make them part of cache rewards or somefink. Oh, and make the item you craft with them not terribad. Off the top of my head, I think only the green set armor items, Reapers wraps, and a Crusader shield are about the only things worth crafting with them. The craft-able weapons are just laughable.

So what replaces the legendary mats?

Nothing, really. Just adjusted costs on the other mats.

They increased death’s breath costs by quite a bit, which is good because I’ve got a million of em. Only legendaries with special effects cost death’s breaths to create. Other legendaries are basically just 6-affix rares, when you think about it.

Unfortunately they also increased arcane dust costs (salvaged blue items) and those are pretty scarce. Tons of yellows, very few blues.

Some of the old legendary mats sell for quite a lot. I made a couple million gold clearing out my bank.

The funny thing about the change to remove the legendary mats is that Reusable Parts are actually the thing I don’t have enough of now. I didn’t really bother consistently picking them up before. I had to unequip my puzzle ring and go around and hunt down crap items…

The RNG, thinking it was being all clever and mean decided to drop the Gold Wrap, Goldskin and a Sunkeeper (all items with a large gold find bonus) in the span of a few days. ā€œNo useful weapons or set items for you!ā€ was the intent, I’m sure, but the RNG has unwitting created a gold and magic item find machine. I’ve got a character whose gold find is around 2200% on T1 with a magic find 105%. Given the recent changes, it has come in pretty handy. 1.5M-ish/act bounty, and quite a few more blues and yellows per run.

Sunkeeper is amazing for that elite damage affix, I’ve been trying to find one for Jade doctor. Also, fuck Kadala.

That should be on a T-shirt if it isn’t already

The Sunkeeper is pretty nice for anyone that isn’t a Crusader. Which is why I have one.

I think they need to add fixed blood shard costs for high demand items. So like instead of ā€˜gambling’ (I hate that term, if there is only one use for a currency…spending it isnt gambling) 15 shard for a 1h wep, you can spend 1500 for the 1h wep of your choice.

Patch 2.1 preview.

Hey they’re finally acknowledging that Dex and Dodge fucking suck.

Conquests are considered ā€œfirst come, first served,ā€ and the first 1000 individuals to complete a Conquest within a given Season will be immortalized on that Season’s regional Leaderboard.

Alas! This means I’ll never get on that board.

RIP, Rift it Forward.

Any idea how much of this will be included in the console versions? Main issue with the console version is basically there is no patching (or battlenet). Which is the nature of the beast I guess.

None of it will make it to the current console versions. The versions with the expansion included are still a couple months out, so they’ll probably get these changes in addition to the console-exclusive stuff, like the last of us themed rift, sending legendaries to your friends, etc.

Two more changes coming in 2.1:
Monk one with everything nerf
Demon hunter preparation/punishment nerf

I’m really looking forward to this patch. Playing without any paragon points sure is going to be painful in the start though. I hope the PTR will reveal some of the new legendaries they’ll be adding so I can settle on a class to play in the ladder season. Worst case I’ll just roll another WD, I’m really enjoying the pet spec at the moment.

Are they going to give extra character slots for season characters?
