From their posts, it seems all this was simply to show that they can be assholes and get away with it? WTF? I mean, are these people perpetually 16 and angry or something?

Yeah, the map system is kind of a drag. I get around it by being inept enough that I never reach the nightmares of high level mapping. It’s a shame because I like PoE’s map system a lot more in theory than I do in practice.

Heh, I’m just talking about the basic sub-subterranean passage crap in Act I–I’ve only gone through the game on Normal into whatever the next level is, and my highest character is in the forties. I only play hardcore and have never even got to an actual end-game map. Those underground maps though are sort of ickily shiny and plasticky and weird. But I love the loot, combat, and skill system, as well as the grittier atmosphere.

Is there an issue at the moment with Roll backs etc. I dont get a massive amount of play time and spent a fair chunk this afternoon doing act V. I did the Witch where you use the guide stones, cleared the blood march, path to corvus etc and quit while unlocking the way point after the paths of the drowned. I then way pointed back and then exited the game. Anyways just logged in and it has sent me back to find the passage to corvus ignoring everything I have done this afternoon.

Any ideas?

I mean, other than proving that they are both stupid and have small dicks, I’m not certain what the point of the whole Ddos thing was anyways. Was it supposed to be making a statement of some kind or is it just further evidence that unfortunate genital endowments are problematic for society as a whole?

I question that MMOs are more complex than 24/7 trading platforms. But lets say they are, are they are a magnitude more complex? 12 hour downtime every week for 10 years… Just saying.

More complex? Maybe not. But Blizzard doesn’t have the financial incentive to need to be able to patch servers without downtime. Trading platforms obviously do. Same with AWS / Azure / etc.

Every company on earth needs to prioritize and cut features. I don’t think it’s “deplorable” that Blizzard chooses to not overhaul established processes which could have incomprehensibly huge ripple effects on existing services just so they can avoid a little downtime occasionally for their games.

I’m sure they could easily do it if they chose to prioritize it, but it’s just not really necessary for them.

Good legendary drop rate this weekend; I guess it’s been high-ish since the last patch, and they’re keeping it that way? Had one mob pack drop three at once.

Yeah that’s nuts, never seen that from regular trash/elites. I had a GRift boss drop 4 legendaries for me a couple days ago but 2 of them were gems.

I’ve had level 30 G-Rift bosses drop 5, so I think that Blizzard actually realized that people enjoyed finding uniques instead of only hearing about them in hushed whispers. Still doesn’t change the fact that in hundreds upon hundreds of hours I’ve never seen a Wand of Woh or a Shard of Hate, but they allegedly exist.

Nah, according to stusser’s link above, their arrogance had them bragging in public places with identities that could be traced back easy enough. Apparently two were apprehended with a third being closed in on.

Looks like the feds have got Komodo and Iguana now. I think I’m next. Good luck FBI.

Phew, all ok! Lucky on normal I am basically invincible!

And done, Malthael dead to a L53 Witchdoctor. I was nervous going into the fight on account of being tired, so stacked some vit and healing. I needn’t have worried, he went down with little trouble with me never more than 1/4 HP down.

I do need to level her to 70 though. I guess, to get some HC paragon levels going, but at least now I can start HC season characters and play adventure mode until they meet their doom.

My HC Seasons Wizard is up to 42 or something I think. I even started a HC Barb and ran her from 1-12 in a single rift. Starting a rift with a loincloth and a crappy axe is a hoot.

I’m trying my hand at HC on the console versions just because like you I couldn’t deal with losing my guy to lag. It does give me a whole new prospective on it. Seems simple enough, just needing to level. But so many things can just go wrong out of nowhere. Sure you can probably easily grind it on normal but even a step up to hard or expect can easily give you trouble unexpectedly. I salute you, HC guys.
