Ah, I guess I get it. I was thinking that the time spent in the rift was mostly time spent with a +100% to legendary drops, rather than thinking of the blood shards. To each his own I guess. Either way, you get something.
The rift boss drops shards, so in effect time spent in a rift before killing the boss is more productive than time spent after. You’ll tend to get more legendaries per rift if you clear them, but more per unit time if you open a new one after killing the boss. I think that was true even when we were paying five tokens to open a rift, and it’s clearly true now that it’s only one. Sure, you remember finding things in rifts after killing the boss, but that’s not evidence that that’s the most efficient way to play, as you’re overlooking the fact that you would have also found stuff in new rifts had you instead opened them.
Oh, and I just did my first HC T1 rift successfully. Got a SoJ out of it too.
Jealous. I’ve only ever found one, and Blizzard ruined it when they made poison DH untenable in the most recent patch. I should just trash it but can’t quite bring myself to do so.

Even at 5 shards I didn’t care to really finish out rifts. I still really don’t all the time even on the console. It’s mostly cause I have a ton from grinding out the RoRG and generally mucking about so I don’t care. Also bloodshards, can’t get more if you don’t open up another rift.

How depressing that you’re not a member. To join, you have to be invited by an officer who’s online at the time. Telefrog and Tom are the only one’s I can remember at the moment.

The other issue is the guild has a max number of members and I don’t think you can kick anyone so there is a backlog of member applications.

Wowsers! Just got my first goblin vault!
Just cruising on hard, so ‘only’ 5 mill gold. 3 legs off the vault boss though! I am so excited, I don’t even know what that gem is yet, and it is my first one!

Sweet. Never seen one of those before. Just plain old goblins, who usually drop crap. Then again, I hit a breakable pustule thingy in a hell rift and out popped a green helm, so go figure.
That’s very cool. I’ve heard about the goblin portals but never seen one. I’ve never come across Ramaldi’s Gift (sp?) either. I don’t have great luck.

I’ve found two Ramaldi’s but no greed portals yet. I did find one that took me to the pony land where the end boss-pony dropped a legendary, but I’m not sure if I just got lucky or if it’s a 100% drop. Just to confirm - greed portal can only be found by killing goblins during campaign/bounties, not in rifts, correct?

Goblin Portals are awesome. Make sure you keep a stack of ‘gold find’ etc gear in your bank, including all the other items that give you gold, AND that Gold gem.
Once you get into a Goblin Portal at T6, and you equip all your gold stuff, AND you’re in a 4 man group, you’ll be looking at 100m+ in gold.
