Found a goblin portal right after Blizzard upped the drop rate on the caches. I was only at T2 at the time so I “only” netted 20M. But with that gem you receive at the end, you really only need to find the realm once.
Also GR lvl 21, hardcore seasonal crusader. The quest to upgrade gems is gonna get me killed.
You people make me jealous with you’re latest PC patch and legendary gems and stuff. Does anyone know if the increased cash drop rate in the latest console releases? I’m a little nervous I’ve been grinding them and should be holding them to open later or something. I keep thinking to try and find a patch number when I boot up the game so I can compare to the features everyone is talking about, but then I end up just jumping into the game and forgetting.
Also, I was wondering about the +100% loot drop rate in rifts: does that apply to opening caches? Should a be taking them into rifts to open?
Caches are rolled the moment they are dropped. Taking them to a higher torment level to open them or into a rift won’t change your results. It did during the RoS beta briefly, but it was corrected quite quickly.

I’m looking for some suggestions for my barb. I’m still trying to get the Pride of Cassius and Strongarm Bracers, and obviously better versions of the items I already have - is there anything else? My problem is survivability, if I run into fire chains or electrified on t6 I die almost instantly. Some RGs are also a real pain in the ass. I’ve tried running with War Cry (impunity rune) and Superstition but it was honestly worse because it took me longer to kill the elite packs.
And another question - is it possible to disable the skill queue on button presses?

Just open them and I doubt opening them in rifts will have any effect as I’m certain their droprates come from a different pool as they only hold specific items. And patches usually aren’t retroactive and even if they were unless you were doing bounties on T6 the rate probably hasn’t changed much. Though I am too jealous of the PC patch for the new legendary affixs on certain weapon. Oh well.

Is there a way to increase your chances of coming across Treasure Goblins? I want to get back into the treasure portal and do the gold stack thing as mentioned. I blew all my gold on recipes after my one and only trip into one.

I think there is a higher chance that gobbos spawn a vault portal in rifts, but that is about it to my knowledge. I’m not sure if difficulty level affects chances, either.

Goblin portals cannot spawn in rifts, and goblins don’t spawn in greater rifts. You need to be in the campaign or in a bounty.
In fact Goblin portals are adventure mode only, level 70 only, and do not spawn in rifts. The most valuable thing you will get from the vault is the gem, because that gem means you never have to worry about gold again, and if you combine it with Goldwrap, you will be invincible most of the time, making T6 a cakewalk (if it wasn’t already).
I’d suggest split-farming normal for goblins to get the gem. I’ve found the vault twice, but I’ve made maybe twice as much gold from using the gem in T6 than I have from the actual vaults.

They don’t spawn in a campaign? I thought I had read otherwise. Obviously haven’t seen one, nobody plays campaign these days.

Whoops, don’t know why I was under a different impression!
Finally got a Greater Rift key. I guess they only drop in T1 or higher? I’m slowly working my WD into doing T1 stuff, and while it’s been tense (which is good, a change from the usual at least!) it’s been doable. Certainly brings back some of the pucker factor.

Fail the trial so you get a greater rift level 1. Then finish each rift with <4:30 remaining to upgrade the keystone by 1. This will get you all the gems. The gems are REALLY powerful. A yellow with no main stat and a socket is almost certainly better than whatever unsocketed ring you have now. Only exceptions would be a well-rolled stone of jordan or RoRG.

Probably a lot, difficulty ramps up really fast and with the mobs starting to jump on you and dealing high dmg around wave 25 or so, you can die almost instantly.

After I grabbed the Boon of the Hoarder gem from the gobbo vault last night, very soon after I have this complimentary leg ring drop.
Now when this happens, I only have to move a few paces and the entire screen of gold is collected! Soooo much fun I can’t even be bothered raising the difficulty to actually challenge my HC WD. The rain of endless gold is a hoot!

My word I have had an uncanny RNG run over the last couple of days. Another gobbo vault - 7 million gold and a more legs.
Oh Blizz, all is (mostly) forgiven. Keep moving in this direction. I will now buy whatever expansion you bring to the table.
Just give me some more goddamn stash space, a way to save and load builds, a hall of fame for dead HC characters and one other thing that just escaped my mind.

You guys really are lucky. I’ve been playing quite a bit since the 2.1 patch dropped and I’ve yet to see a Ramaladni’s Gift or a Goblin Portal. Oh well.

If you purposefully fail it, zero. When you enter the trial you just run all the way north so none of the monsters attack you. You can also town portal the instant you enter the trial and make it out before they spawn.
If you do the trial for real and don’t purposefully fail before you get overwhelmed, you can definitely die.
