I am only playing on Hard difficulty for shits and giggles and HC paragon levels atm. At 400k DPS, 40% crit chance, 340% crit damage, pets, + poison and + skill damage gear, I am melting through content faster than the game can throw it at me. When you come across more goblins, you are going to get more chances at vaults.

But I am missing out on chances of GR keys, certain leg and set items (inc Ramaladni’s), etc.

Ha! So I bumped it to Torment 1 to see how I would handle it. Spawn in Bastion’s Keep, move to New Tristram for lower mob density. Warp to location, FIRST mob I run into is a fire chains elite group!

I survived.

Thinking about dusting off the monk or barb to fiddle around, but I have some reading to do apparently. I haven’t really been paying attention to the last several patches and don’t know how any of this new stuff works. :-(

Yeah, HC Torment is definitely interesting. I had Raziel, one of the Rift bosses, spawn right near the entry from previous level, and within seconds I was in red-screen territory. Of course old Raziel spawned right when I was fighting not one but two packs of blues with fire chains and plague, naturally. I had to duck back through the level gate, and come back in to finish it. Wasn’t hard once I came back in but for a moment there it was icky.

Huh, my HC WD also just passed my non-HC paragon level. 180+ hours in my P29 barb. 43 in my P30 WD. My how this game has changed.

I’m going to start a new character - the Demon Hunter. Do you all prefer the male or female version? I have a male Crusader and female Wizard right now. My Barbarian will be male whenever I get around to doing one of those. And not sure if I will go male or female with the Witch Doctor.

I have a male WD, a female Crusader, a female DH, and a female Wiz at 70 right now (the Wiz is in Seasons though, as my male HC Wiz bit it a couple weeks ago). Generally, I prefer male WDs, Monks, and Barbs but female Wiz and DH; Crusader is a toss up. But really, it makes zero difference as the armor is what you see anyhow, and it’s so damn small to boot.

If you’re into League of Legends at all, the female DH is basically Vayne which is part of why I chose female; also in part because Amazon and Assassin, probably the closest parallels from D2 were female.

Still new to the Adventure mode. I was doing a bounty in Stonefort, Kill so and so, and 75 enemies. I killed the monster, got to 68/75 kills, scoured the entire level three times and couldn’t find any other enemies anywhere. Is that a known issue? Does it happen often? It was my last bounty of the act, if I knew there was going to be that risk I would’ve tried this one first.

This is on the console version.

It’s maybe the same in the console version, but there’s an area where a Hell Bearer and Demon Troopers will spawn if you walk near.

I really tried to not just uncover the map from line of sight but truly walk everywhere—the whole perimeter and then zig-zagging across the open areas, but I guess it’s possible I still missed some trigger. Pretty frustrating.

Try to go to the next map, sometimes it still counts. This only seems to happen in act 1. For example, the area before Leoric’s manor and the manor area (the stone steps, etc) itself.

Well I made level 70 with my Monk, my first max Level. I looked at some popular builds and also used the guides in here and it made a big difference.

I still haven’t had any decent drops, my DPS is only 200,000 and I am paragon 7. I have a few hundred blood shards and plenty of Rift shards.

Is it best to keep running the bounties in Act 1 for the Ring or do some rifts or mix it up a bit.

I am not sure if I can link my character, looks like it worked, here it is.

Any advice would be good, I have trouble being on at decent times as I started on the US servers but am in the UK and was too lazy to start over :) so meeting in game may be out but advice is good :)

I’m going to guess people are going to suggest you go for more critical hit % and armor with more gem slots. But I may be totally wrong.

Reemel if I’m on US server right now, can I just switch that setting and play wth you? Or do we have to have specific characters on the server from the start?

You will need a character on the US server already. I have my 70 Monk on the US server and a 50 odd barbarian on the EU one. So long as we are both online on the same server US then we could play.

Reading Shockmesane’s guide I gather sockets, crit and crit damage along with Vit + 3 others are all important. Doesn’t seem easy to get Gem slots though on armor or weapons.

Should I also start Torment 1, I think it would be a slog atm I can go up to Torment and not really worry, Dashing Strike always moves you away from any danger if needed, except being frozen.

I’d like to ask for help on my current outfit as I need to spend blood shards. I’ve run this setup for 20 hours and am stuck not finding anything that can improve it. At Paragon level 66 I maxed out the 4 categories as Movement Speed (+8.5%), Attack Speed (+3.4%), Resist All (+80), and Area Damage (+16%).

Also, is the sword I have pretty much the best I can get for a Crusader?

I don’t play a monk, but I think:

  • A socketed weapon is not optional. Get one (or use the mystic and reroll the vitality slot on the one you’re using) and put a big green gem in it.

  • Generally, try to get dex, crit chance, crit damage on your rings, amulet, and gloves. Try to get defensive stats on pants, chest, and shoulders. Swapping out that ring with vit, armor, and all resist for one with offensive stats would improve your damage quite a bit. Attack speed is not so useful as of RoS, at least for most classes.

  • Your hat is poor. Get one with four primary slots, preferably including a socket, and put either a diamond or amethyst in the socket.

The QT3 guild is limited by space, until someone quits no one can be added, I thought maybe we would purge the guild and start a new with current actives. Did this go anywhere, seems a shame to have 150 members at last played over 100 days?
