Omg, I can not get enough of Adventure/Bounties mode.
I just finished the campain mode for the first time.
I kind of shelved D3 after it’s release and never really bothered with it much.
I did get the expansion when it was on sale, but still didn’t get hooked.
But now I’m having quite a lot of fun. Even skipped a couple raid nights to play D3.

I too have not played D3 in a long time. I played the expansion and that is about the last time I played it. I know there is this season mechanic that is supposed to let you start new characters that get some kind of loot boost. Do you start at level 1 and play the story mode until level cap or is there a better way to play a new character?
Also when the season ends, from what I understand, that seasonal characters get added to your normal character rosters. Do you have to delete characters to make room? I assume that all your stuff from the season is merged, like stash stuff and now these legendary powers, right?

Ok folks, I haven’t played D3 for a while and when I was playing, I really only played a lot of Barbarian. And a little Witch Doctor, but I wasn’t a huge fan.
With the new patch, I’m ready to dig back in with a new character. Class recommendations? I’m thinking Crusader since it’s the expansion’s class, but is it too similar to Barbarian?

I mostly played a barb, but I too will be doing a crusader to try something different. I have no idea how they compare to barbs and if the playstyle is any different.
Tom says, “Remember, kids, time spent in Diablo III not playing a Witch Doctor is time wasted!”
The next season starts on Friday. You start a new character and nothing is shared between season characters and regular characters, including crafters, stash, etc. But you do not lose access to adventure mode. That would be terrible. Once it ends it all goes back in with your regular stuff, yeah. No idea how it handles a full roster because I haven’t rolled enough characters to hit the cap, season or otherwise.

I can’t just start a level 1 character in act 2 or 3 can I? I mean technically it could be yes, but won’t I get trounced or will it all scale to my level?
If you go to adventures and bounties directly, you can play any act and it will scale to your level, I think.

Cool. Then Act 1 can go straight to hell, one-way, no stops, do not pass go, do not collect $200.
Yep. Just start doing bounties wherever you want. It can be challenging with no gear, but it’s fun.
I don’t think Barbs are that that similar, in that the Crusader is more of a paladin archetype, with a viable spell-casting sort of path if you feel like it.
For a real change of pace, though, go Demon Hunter (bows) or Wizard…
Of the classes I’ve played so far, my favorites are easily Witch Doctor and Crusader. So there’s that.
As for Season 4… I’ll probably create a Demon Hunter or a Barbarian, since those are the two classes I haven’t really played properly yet.
I’m a Wizard and Barbarian guy myself, I think I might try out Witch Doctor for Season 4. I actually have a level 40+ something WD but that’s from around release, so I’m sure they play a little differently now.

Cool, I’ll give Crusader a shot.
Witch Doctor just had so many useless skills, even after reaching level 37 I just wasn’t having too much fun with it.

Let me speak a word to you: Piranhado.
Yeah, I’d say Crusader is more versatile. Witch Doctor has quite a few amazing skills (and some AMAZING legendaries), and if you like pets, it’s the best choice of class.
A like button. This forum needs one.
How can anyone dispute that the Witch Doctor is the pinnacle of class design for all games ever? He throws jars full of spiders. And that’s, like, at level one. It just gets better from there.

When they first announced Diablo III and showed off the Witch Doctor, they showed off Wall of Zombies. I thought, and still do, that it was an incredibly amazing looking skill and I wanted to try it out desperately. Such a cool class, LOTS of amazing skills that I’m sure have only improved as the patches went by. Very excited for Friday.
Wait, what happens Friday? Is there bonus Witch Doctor xp weekend or something?

Oh, man, gotta love this internet. Reinstalling the D3 client now and I’m getting 189MB/s. The whole thing took like 2 minutes
