Look, Mr. N8r, we can’t help someone who hates fun. That’s on you and whatever class that isn’t a Witch Doctor you’ve decided to play.

So I recently got Diablo 3 Ultimate Evil Edition for my Xbox 360. I just found out that they aren’t releasing patches for the 360 version anymore.
Does anyone know what I’m missing out on or might be missing out on in the future by using the 360 version? I’m contemplating returning it to Gamestop but at the same time I don’t really want to dump $40+ dollars on the PC version right now so I’m debating what to do. Are they planning on releasing another full expansion sometime that I won’t be able to play?

The 360 version would be fun BUT you’ll be missing all the stuff they just added in the 2.3 patch. There might be an expansion down the line but I doubt they’re going to release it for the 360/PS3 unfortunately. Just assuming that last part due to the lack of patch support.
Well that was a pretty successful evening. Got the cube, got a Tal Rasha chest piece and Nilfur’s Boast for my wizard, and upgraded my shoulders. I haven’t quite figured out all the changes though.Has the old upgrade or progess to the next rift stage thing gone?
Man, it’s been a long time since I played this game, and some of my characters…well, let’s just say I need some thorough retooling. I have one of each class at 70 in Hardcore, with one additional Wizard (from a Season). One of my wizzies is pretty fly, but the other…oy. Apparently I had him set to use Arcane Orb and the Spectral Blades spell, mostly, and boy does he suck. Took forever to clear a bounty with him, though with 13 million + toughness he’s fairly durable. Way too long on the TTK, and no really distinguished gear, either (the other Wizzy is running Firebird’s with a RORG to give it the full set bonus). Whereas the other wizard vaporizes stuff, this one…sort of plinks it to death. Gotta try something new with him.

Where is this new cube at? What act / story part?
On the act III (I think) map in the top right corner is the new ‘Ruins of Sescheron’ destination. You can go straight there (I guess after Kulle reveals it).
Don’t be fooled, btw, the cube is not in the throne room! ;)
Yeah, the cube is off on the side somewhere. There are a pair of nasties around there too that depending on luck and level and can be mean.

Who is kulle? I haven’t played since the expansion came out.

Oh, that guy, but you killed him in act 2. I didn’t recall him returning after that point, unless he reveals that before he dies in act 2 at some point. I always liked him and was kind of annoyed that they forced you to fight him.
His dialogue in the new patch discusses his return from the dead. It’s fairly humorous.

Who could forget the “Kulle story bro!” cheevo? lol
Anyway, what I would like to know (if anyone happens to have insight) is if the Legendary abilities pulled off Legendary items that then become account bound will be available to new Season 4 characters when the season starts tomorrow. Or if it will be like paragon levels where Season characters only have access to what they earn during the season.
The blue post says it applies within a game type. I don’t know, however, if seasons are counted as a game type or if it’s just normal/hardcore.
Edit: both it seems.
The Cube, for all intents and purposes, is like a new artisan. Once it’s acquired (by completing a quest in the new Ruins of Sescheron zone), you’ll be able to access it in each of the Act hubs. This unlock also works similarly to other artisans — you’ll need to unlock it once in each game mode (Hardcore, Normal, Normal Seasonal, Hardcore Seasonal).

It’s Diablo III story, I think it’s best to think on it as little as possible.
I haven’t tried out the patch, though, so I’m not familiar with the humor that TheWombat mentions. :)
The humour is about you not doing a good job of killing him. It’s not all that funny, really.
No, but as KevinC says, this is D3; the bar is not very high.

“Hey, nice job trying to murder me after I spent all that time helping you out! By the way, go to this spot for a magic cube, and I’ll hang out in town and be really helpful some more. Don’t go trying to kill me again, <wink wink!>”
Would have been neat if the ruins were a huge trap full of Kulle-led monsters and traps designed to kill the player, and the player figures out how to use the cube to bind Kulle to servitude. But no, it’s just hand-waved away.

Stop nitpicking the awesomeness that they’ve delivered unto us :D Played some couch co-op with my wife last night and was able to quickly level up her monk from 1 to 57 - not bad! 7 of those levels were after she went to bed because of the awesome ‘follow’ logic. I just zipped around with my wizard nuking stuff to boost her up. Just need to get to 70 so the real fun can begin again!
I grabbed the ‘teleport has no cooldown, just costs 25 sp’ power and it is truly awesome. I can zip around like D2 again without even using whatever weapon it was I stole it from. Also took the -1 set item required power from the ring.
Ha ha, you guys are paying attention to the Diablo story!
