Crit everywhere you can find it (gloves, bracers, helm, offhand, jewelry).
Mainstat (STR) basically everywhere.
Some reasonable mix of vit/life/armor/resist.
Hopefully a non-trivial amount of regen. Depending on your build, Life on Hit is awesome or kinda meh.
25% movespeed between equipment and Paragon points.
Skill-wise, I have no idea what Barbs are doing these days. I loved my Seismic Slam build back in the day, but that was pre-RoS and I haven’t really barb’d since.

Does Magic Find actually do anything in helping you find interesting legendaries or set pieces?
Unless they changed it, very little.
It’s additive with the silly % bonuses you get from Torment difficulty, so even an extra 100% takes you from 1150% to 1250% or whatever.
And by Crit, he means both Crit hit Chance and Crit Hit Damage.

Yeah, try to aim for even split. Ie, 40% chc, 400% chd, or 50% chc with 500% chd.

Well, I completed Slayer… by joining a public game. I feel dirty. It was going to take forever for me to complete the last challenge (beat torment 6 rift in 7 minutes) otherwise. Next level is Champion, which actually seems pretty easy, assuming I use a public game to complete that challenge again (torment 7 this time).

The worst thing for me was when I was trying to get one of those timed rift achievements and I portaled to the next level and it was a Whimsyshire level. I was like “@#$$ wtf??!!?”.
As for the timed rift achievement, I got it but not on that run. In fact, I got it on a run when I wasn’t trying to get the timed event, I eventually decided that I would run rifts fast but not try to race them, and if I got the cheevo I got it. And I did. That strat probably won’t work where I am now (need a T8 rift in something like 6 minutes) but all I’m forsaking is a nicer custom portrait!

I love how generous most of the patches are in content/additions. Lots of good will to encourage paying up for any future expansions.
Good to see such major changes still coming along to enhance the gameplay. I now have level 70 characters of every class on both the PC and PS4 so anything that adds some new polish may get me to continue playing. I like the Adventure life just fine, but it’s a bit of a grind after a while.
So this is the Blizzcon where we had fingers crossed for the announcement of a 2nd expansion right? Ah well.

so sex pieces aside, i’m having way more fun with diablo than it has any right to. Whatever they did between the time i left(auctionhouse) and the time i came back, was exactly the kind of stuff that needed to be done. Unfortunately, for most of my friends, its way too late and none will try again despite my urgings, and so I ventured off into season 4 HC mode with my monk.
I’m now so far beyond what i thought i would ever play and doing GR23 and T4. Nowhere close to any of you, but still a vast achievement for me. Unfortunately, i’ve hit a bit of a ceiling unless I re-spec, as i can’t press very much higher without substantial risk (and even now i have to play cautiously as I could easily die if i were unattentive). I’ve got my 6 pieces of Uliana, and a couple of pieces of Inna, the set rings, and a few others (either sets or meaningful pieces). My problem is that 1) the various pieces of ancient legendary gear are so much better than the regular set gear. For instance, i have a socketed ancient legendary axe of sankis as my main…nothing i’ve seen has been able to touch in in raw damage. I’ve also ancient pants(blackthorne) and ancient gloves (sunwuko) which i’ve got set up and the bonuses are pretty good…but ya, i’ve obviously hit a ceiling, which brings me to 2) when i try re-specing, i just find i don’t like playing that way as much. Even without it being optimized, that seven-strike build blows shit up…but it’s not as fun as my build…
blah. I need more ancient pieces.

if my ‘unoptimized’ build blew shit up, i’m not really sure what this ‘almost optimized’ build does…i’m now always just one click away from making shit never have existed.
Did have one of those ‘pure awesome’ game moments just now. Playing a rift, wide open kind, and just filled with fallen conjurers. Then i happened upon a treasure goblin, and…i hadnt ever seen it before, but i’m guessing the conjurers were rezing the goblins, because i spent about 10 minutes chasing down and killing more goblins than i’d ever seen before. I then had to spend about 10 more minutes collecting loot and going back and forth over the map to make sure i picked it all up cause…even if you dont need it, that’s just what you do.
