Why don’t you think it does?

Edit: And is “coh” City of Heroes or some lesser game?

In my opinion, time enjoyed is never wasted. If you enjoyed your time playing then it was all worthwhile :)

Where is the new island? That is, how do you get to it?

As for the seasonal thing, I have two HC characters in each class now, so, rebirth it is I guess.

Sorry- I didn’t mean that it was an objectively worse game. I just meant it is not one of my favorites. By coh I meant company of heroes.

Thing is- it doesn’t feel like time enjoyed. It feels like time lost. I’ve always known about hours played with steam, and for most games when I see the tally it sort of matches with my internal feeling of how much I played. Not so with d3. Is this how mmorpg addicts feel I wonder?

What most bothers me most is my belief that if I had simply been given all the items I was trying to find from the start, I would have only played 20 or 30 hours of d3.

That being said, I don’t mean this as criticism of D3 which I consider a very fun game with awesome post-launch support.

At this point, the only class I haven’t leveled to 70 yet is the Barbarian, so that’s where I’m heading.

Greyhollow Island is in the Act V map.

The Eternal Woods are (apparently) a sub-zone off the Ruins of Sescheron, which was added in the last patch.

The Royal Quarters are (also apparently) a new sub-zone off of Leoric’s Manor, which is… still Act I ?

Thanks!

I strictly play solo and have never played in season. But having an extra stash is enticing. Just need to decide which class to do it in.
The new zones are ok. I thought the area added in 2.3 where the Kanai’s Cube was found was more interesting.

Season mode is also solo, just an FYI, it has nothing to do with playing in groups or anything.

Yeah, I’ll play with a Barbarian this season. Only class I haven’t played for real so far.

I did a bit more research and the amount of effort to get the extra slash slot in seasons is rather daunting. You need to complete the “Conqueror” stage of the season journey, which includes killing Diablo and Greed on T10, reaching greater rift 60 solo, level 3 gems to 55, finish a T10 normal rift in <4 minutes, and complete two conquests, which are specific achievements that are all pretty difficult, like doing acts 1-5 in <1 hour, getting a 50 million gold streak outside of goblinland, reaching greater rift 45 without any sets, etc. It’s no joke.

So… screw seasons.

Yeah I’ll never even get close to that.

Fuck that. I thought I did pretty well last season, but did not achieve a single conquest.

Getting to GR60 solo should not be too bad - the patch notes seem to suggest rifts should be a little easier with monster health down. If you can do that, leveling gems won’t be too bad either (and a snap if you group).

But conquests, ugh.

holy balls

Right, I was hoping you’d get the stash tab for leveling to 70 and finishing the chapters portion of the season journey, which are all pretty easy and satisfying to do in a completionist kind of way. But getting to Conqueror, screw that.

No joke. I plan on approaching S5 like I did S4: Level a dude or two, play around with some class sets, level up some legendary gems, have a good time. Once I reach the point of grinding rifts/grifts for the few specific items that will boost my power (goddamn Unity!), I quickly lose interest.

I’ll never get that far, I’m sure, but I think a season is a good excuse to try a new class or build or whatever. I had a lot of fun playing with a Demon Hunter for the first time in Season 4, and I’m looking forward to taking a Barbarian to 70 and beyond on season 5, rewards or not.

Jesus. I hope the expected backlash leads to them reconsidering for future seasons. I was also looking forward to semi-casually rolling through the chapters like I did for last season to get the pet and then playing when the mood struck me. Having said that, a friend of mine who topped out around GRift 49 on her non-seasons character nearly pulled off a GRift 64 yesterday because of the huge Marauder’s set buff. So perhaps it won’t be as rough as initially expected?

Personally I want to give Crusader a shot now that it’s been buffed some more and there’s a new set themed around Steed Charge.

Hmm, Marauder set buff, you say?

Embodiment of the Marauder
(4) Set Bonus
Now also increases the damage of Sentries by 300%
(6) Set Bonus
Damage bonus per active Sentry increased from 100% to 600%
Damage bonus now also applies to Companion and Vengeance

It’s… significant.

I haven’t played since Season 2. I don’t even know what you guys are mostly talking about. I’m hyped to start S5. Is battle.net still going to be a disaster the first couple days? Or have they ironed that out?
