Alright, assuming you can clear T9/TX, Avarice is the easiest conquest ever. Clear bounties or rifts until you spot a Gilded Baron, slot Leoric’s Helm with an Emerald installed and reconfigure Paragon for GF. Kill Goblin. Profit. 64 million, conquest complete.

I now have a shiny new stash tab. It is already full.

Many people run the campaign up to killing the Skeleton King. The first time you kill him, in campaign mode, at level 20+, you’re guaranteed to get his crown to drop. Pop a ruby in it and you have an excellent piece of leveling gear.

EDIT: Corrected the gem type. Thanks, Locker :)

I’ve been running around with %7,500+ GF in TX for the last 500 paragons, and I’ve yet to see that darned goblin :)

I’m due!

I’ve been blowing through TX rifts trying to get the 4 minute speed achievement and yea, no sign of the Gilded Baron here either (though it will be my second conquest when it happens – the GR45 setless is fairly easy this season as well). Of course, it did show up 3 times while I was leveling my HC Wizard to 70. If RNG stays unkind to us, I’ve heard the guardians can give the achievement from greater rifts in the 80s ;)

Assuming you mean ruby here, which is the bonus XP gem. Also pairs well with the Cain’s set if you get the plans from a bounty, though taking up 3 slots for 50% exp boost is a steep price.

Don’t know if anyone’s mentioned it yet, but this is a great resource for end-game builds.

Items have an orange diamond when they have a special stat that isn’t included/counted in the item comparison values. The “Squeal!” property of the Pig Sticker does not have this orange diamond. This amuses me greatly.

After blitzing TX rifts for season journey progress, pushing GRifts into the 60s (with all the drops that accompany) and spending nearly 30k shards on shield gambling, my first Akarat’s Awakening dropped when I was running a GR20, trying to power level a gem for speed purposes. RNG is a funny thing.

For the EU guild I play almost every day at least.

As someone who has played about 60 minutes of Diablo 3, I absolutely love this post. You could put it on a financial services message board and it would make just as much sense to the lay person. :)

I had been running a 6 firebird / 4 tals set on my wiz, and flipped it around to 6 tals, 4 firebird…all I can say is, wow. It just melts stuff. The great thing about the build, is that it plays just like you’d want it to for the bonus goodies. I.E., you’d do the same rotation even if it weren’t for trying to keep stacks of stuff up. The synergy between the build, and the bonus stuff you need to juggle is really amazing.

Current build/items. http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Ultrazen-1639/hero/15378788

This build is so much fun, in so many ways. It allows you to kite if you need to, or stand and turret, both get benefits depending on what you need to do. It’s a really fluid playstyle, that can instantly adapt on the fly to whatever pack you run into. One of the most fun builds I’ve used in a long time.

I just hit paragon 400, which is easily over 1000 hours played. That’s pretty incredible to me, especially considering I’m currently having a blast with the game again, and have only really touched one class since the last patch. Great game.

If you want to push into higher Greater Rifts, there are a few tweaks you could make with the build (teleport with safe passage is pretty important, you’ll probably need to slot bane of the stricken, etc.), but if you’re having fun with it that’s the most important thing.

The avarice conquest has been kicking my ass. It’s the last thing between me and unlocking that stash tab, and it seems to mainly rely on finding a gilded baron in torment 10. Unfortunately no barons are showing up. I’ve attempted doing it manually with boon of the hoarder and some gold find boosts, but at best I reach about 5 million streak (Need 50 million) before I hit a blank patch with no enemies and the streak ends. Driving me up the wall but I’m trying to do it before Xcom 2 and I (Probably) stop playing D3 for a while.

Diablo III: We’ve made grinding for loot fun again!

There’s another way to do this. Go to Ruins of Corvus in Act V in a Gold Find build (Hoarder, Goldwrap Belt, etc). Run through without killing anything – just open up all the doors and spawn the bazillion scarabs. Then, run through, kill and pick up gold. You’ll want a build with plenty of mobility, and you have to avoid getting caught in dead ends or backtracking.

People also manage it by collecting 100 or so Horadric Caches and popping them all at once. That takes a lot of stash space, though.

One of the trick is Ruins of Corvus. Leave your follower at home and stash your pet - the follower aggros and the pet does not reset the pick-up timer. Run the ruins without killing anything (ideally a zDPS build) to open all the doors and spawn all the mobs. Once the level is mapped, TP to town, put on your best GF gear, TP back, plot your path through the map and go to town. The trick is to do it slow and methodically. Also set at a difficulty where killing things does not slow you down, so T7/8. Boon should be at level 30 or 40 and it goes without saying your paragon points should be in GF with Leoric’s Crown. Another nicety would be an Avarice Band to help with pick-up radius.

Unfortunately I’m a thorns crusader, so I’m not sure how well it would work with scarabs killing themselves on me. Guess it’s worth a shot though, thanks for the tips guys.

Edit: Well first attempt was definitely my highest score so far, made it up to 13 million before I ran out of map. Might try leveling boon of the hoarder a few more times and see if I can squeeze a little more GF on somewhere. That was already on T10 and I was maintaining a pretty good pace, just needed more gold.

I got to 14 mill on my first T7 run before I missed a pickup and the streak ended. That was without Leoric’s, nor changing paragon points. It was with Boon @ 30 or so, Goldskin and the hands item that helps with gold generation. Ran about 2/3 of the map.

Of course then I ran into a Gilded Baron on a TX bounty run which negated any further attempts.

So I hit 70 with my Wizard, have my 6 piece Firebird set, and have been breezing through T4 and grifts up to around 25 (23-24 are easy, 25 is pushing it). I’m running what is probably a “starter” level 70 firebird build. Aside from the Firebird set I am wearing 2 pieces of Tal Rasha. The only ancient piece I have is the TR source.

I need some advice from the D3 experts here as to what my upgrade strategies should be. I’ve been blowing Blood Shards on things like belts or gloves. I crafted a bunch of rare rings and cubed them all but didn’t receive anything super awesome.

I also need direction as to what my goal should be. I seem to only get grift keystones about every 3rd or 4th time running a rift. I can probably do T5, though.

I don’t have much cubed, nor a whole lot to choose from. I am currently using a RORG, an Aquila Curiass, and … some lackluster weapon proc in the cube. Help me figure out where I go from here!

Anyone else’s Blizzard launcher has become extremely small and with font that is impossible to read as well?

Most efficient thing is to figure out an end-game build and work towards it.

This is what I’m using and it works really well.

I think the DMO set will let you push slightly higher Greater Rifts than Tal Rasha or Firebird thanks to the increased survivability, but you can easily do Torment 10 with any set, so it’s up to you.

Here’s a firebird build for reference:

If you don’t have an ancient weapon, that needs to be your first priority. Anything will work for now, so just keep crafting them until you get one (Devastator used to be the best option, but I’m not 100% sure). For Death’s Breath crafting I would focus on upgrading wands until you get a usable ancient one. Then settle on a build from there, since it’s your most important piece of gear and a lot of the legendary wands have amazing properties. Once you have a good weapon, I would craft rings since eventually you’ll want to cube Convention of the Elements or Halo of Arlyse. Or craft orbs if you don’t have the one you need.

Blood shards - yeah, just use them on whatever armor slot you need the most. Possibly trying to gather pieces for Tal Rasha or DMO.

And obviously leveling up your gems is a pretty significant boost. Most wizard builds use Trapped and Stricken, so probably start with those.

And you might want to stop and do bounties for a Ring of Royal Grandeur if you’re planning on throwing some Tal Rasha pieces or switching to a different set.
