Makes a little more sense if you think about how hard they pushed the real money auction house at launch. Any dupe exploits (which were fairly rampant in D2) would have completely killed the market.

This is still the one I come back to. Iā€™ve been playing and enjoying Grim Dawn, but it hasnā€™t put its hooks into me like Diablo. Iā€™ve never really got into PoE. I think Iā€™ve made it to level 30 or so there.

I guess I should be playing this in a group. Watching folks already approaching paragon 400 and running T13T16 Nephalem Rifts. I think this German group might hit my current normal paragon level of 701 by the end of their session. :)

I picked DH+Monk this season (yet again), so weā€™ll see how it goes.

Feels like Iā€™m getting a lot more legendary drops than before, only made it to level 60 and almost have a full stash of legendaries, playing on the 2nd difficulty level while leveling.

Made it to 60 now, so gonna hit bounties to get some cube mats for 70.

Hmm. For this season, between Crusader, DH, and Wiz, what makes the ā€˜bestā€™ all-around character for soloing, but still at least sort of desired for groups (nothing super end-game - I never last that long)? It is probably a silly question, because this is D3 and I doubt anything is actually that bad if not trying to push super-high stuff.

I think the DH is the ā€œbestā€ free set/first character this season. Impale is really pretty easy to gear for as well, as there are only a few weapons in the pool if you start gambling etc. Basically fan of knives and impale. Wiz gets firebird, which to me is kind of meh. Crusader gets thorns/invoker.

Got through chapter 3 last night. I need to rewatch a challenge rift guide. I think I wasnā€™t making use of the cache correctly. I guess you can end up with a weapon and then roll lower level requirements on it to speed along the run to 70. Next toon I guess.

Ah, I was thinking a legendary but it is just a 70 rare with rolled lower level req.

From the guide I read - what you mention there is a thing you do around level 40, since thatā€™s about the minimum you can get the level req. down to.

In terms of spending your challenge cache early, you can max the Blacksmith, craft a 70 weapon, use the Cube to upgrade it to legendary, then extract itā€™s power. Thatā€™s advised only for Necro, Barb, and DH, as the others have under 50% chance of getting a good weapon this way.

The other option is to spend those DBs on extracting more legendary powers. You can gamble at Kadala and end up with more extracted legendary powers from the start, you have enough starting currency for 6 extractions total.

Iā€™ve been enjoying the season so far. I decided to go with a wizard to start. I wasnā€™t sure because I already have the firebird set from the last season I ran a wizard, but it has turned out to be a blast :). With the season bonus I have a weird setup at the moment.

I eventually want to do a Vyr Chantodo build, but this has been fun. I have 6 ancients at the moment, and with Wand of Woh cube basically giving me chain reaction on explosive blast to go with flash, orb of infinite depth pumping up the explosive blast damage some more and reducing damage, plus Aquila Cuirass for damage mitigation she is a ball of tanky death. The only time arcane power dips from 100% at all is when topping off magic weapon and ice armor, and explosive blast is constantly popping off unless Iā€™ve popped archon. I think this build initially called for frost nova, but I had these items so I thought Iā€™d try explosive blast and see what happens.

Ah, so to get the LoN season bonus you canā€™t have any other set bonus going? Iā€™ll have to play around and see what I can do.
