Has anybody else found the monsters in Act V to be drastically tougher than the monsters in I-IV? I was playing through on T1, and probably could have kept playing through it with no problem, but for the sake of quickly progressing through the act, I dropped it down to Master. T1 - any act - used to be where I’d just pop monsters, but act V was taking a long time to kill normal whites. Might not help that I play barbarian, but there it is. And my damage has gone up by about 40-50% since I started the act.

I actually reset my Barb’s story progress so I have to slog through act 3, but I did get to level 62 or 63 and I’m liking his new Avalanche skill so it’s not all bad!

Did the difficulty bonuses change with the release of the expansion yesterday? I can’t tell. But what I could tell was that for powering through Act 3 there was no reason not to bump it down from Master to Expert and then Hard. I get less experience per monster, sure, but I defeat monsters so much more quickly that I’m gaining experience nearly as quickly.

There’s no difference in loot between those difficulties (other than Torment), right?

Set Loot only drops in Torment. Also some legends are Torment specific.

I started a game on T6 as lvl 1 and had a lvl 60 friend boost me until I was 45 so I could equip one of my legendary weapons with reduced lvl requirement. It took a bit more than 30 minutes (from the start till we finished the Wortham Cathedral quest), and we were both blown away at how fast it was.

We did 4 man level 60-70 in about an hour, so 1-62 on CRS in 5 hours shouldn’t be hard at all.

I’m gonna disagree with set loot only in torment. I got a Belt at 63 Normal on my Demon Hunter after defeating an elite in the final zone.Blackthorne’s Notched Belt.

Interesting. Not a huge thing either way though, since Torment 1 is basically the lowest difficulty that can be considered a difficulty if you’ve spent a few hours getting gear at level cap.

Is anyone else finding an absurd number of barbarian belts? It seems like 2/3s of the belts my demon hunter finds are barbarian class items.

Yeah, the class sets are only the latest addition to the Torment-only drop list. There have always been more.

Fucking FedEx decided not to deliver my CE tonight so I get to not play Reaper of Souls for another day because I made the mistake of buying a physical game. (Blizzard physical CEs are way too nice to pass up, though.) Mostly I just am amazed how the shipping companies can be relatively competent and functional most of the year but whenever they fuck me, it’s invariably on something I really need in a timely fashion. :P

Look on the bright side, at least it is FedEx and not UPS. Just this year alone, I’ve had to return 3 different CE’s to Amazon because they were damaged during shipping by UPS.
