Hey, so I noticed that our clan is full and we have a ton of join requests. Anyone want to make an overflow clan? If so, let us know the info and we can post about it here somewhere. Or something.

Thats an American clan, right? Is there a Euro one?

I don’t know if there’s a Euro or not. I’d say probably not so go for it!

Razgon, at this point, the loot and difficulty system on the console versions is actually very different from the PC version. I figure that most of the folks in this thread right now are only acquainted with the PC version. When you read folks here talking about how certain items are only available at certain difficulties, I don’t think that’s going to apply to what you’re playing.

Also, I recall being really surprised at how the Xbox 360 version would let me completely stymie myself if I cranked the difficulty up too high. Don’t get too ambitious. As for your characters and loot being gone, that was a known issue that should be fixed. Is all your stuff still gone?

Yes there is. Search for QT3 and request an invite.

Thanks Tom and Ginger. Yeah, all my stuff and characters are gone. I now wonder if I somehow accidentally deleted the saves since it doesn’t seem to be a problem to others. As for PC vs console, I actually thought it was more or less the same, but I guess you are right. Perhaps its time to play the PC version a bit, since I actually own that as well :-)

I’ll do the search, Ginger!

Is any part of the new stuff included in the base game or does one need the expansion?

Expansion is the crusader class, act 5, new crafter, and adventure mode. Everything else is in the base game.

Well, plus the level cap raise to 70, nephalem rifts, and I think some of the legendary items only drop at level 70…?

That said, the base game with the new updates is pretty awesome, and all a casual gamer would need to enjoy themselves, I think.

I ran into the same issue on T1. I was handling pre Westmarch T1 and T2 okay… Around 64-65 my gear was showing it’s age in a bad way. Finally picked up a decent rare mace to replace my legacy Skorn. Found some kickass Legendary boots that General William Tecumseh Sherman himself would be proud to wear (they trail 100% weapon damage fire), a new rare helm, gauntlets, and bracers. My toughness is over 2M and damage over 100K. Still a long way to go, but I am not dying on every elite pack.

Thanks, so basically my console version is what is base game on the PC.

Just cleared that rat spawning dungeon in Westmarch with my wizard. I’m level 63 now (paragon 28). Playing solo on T1 and taking it all in. Elites are pretty challenging so far. I almost died a few times. Not a single legendary drop in the expansion so far though. I think I’ll stick with T1 until my first death then I’ll probably start dropping the difficulty level.

My 65th level HC Barbarian (paragon 26) died in Pandemonium (on hard) to a thing called a Planewalker (I think). She’d been blowing through everything up to that point. I was considering moving up to Expert. Sniff

Spent ages at 70, T1 doing the start of Act 5. Fighting <some boss> who has a self heal, my damage wasn’t enough to take him down quickly so it probably took close to 30 minutes where I in the end managed to pull him to a corner where his adds wouldn’t come and help. Felt a bit like one of the bossfights in TESO where I also didn’t have enough dps.

So far have NOT been lucky with drops at all. At one point my FOLLOWER had the SAME dps as I did, according to the paperdolls. (She got a Legendary Staff). But at least with 7m toughness I could survive for a bit.

Q: Do you keep your HC PAragon levels?

I’ve been farming at Hard rather than going to Torment, since it’s more efficient when your gear is ā€œbad.ā€ I did luck into picking up a legendary weapon as my second legendary drop at 70; the rolls were lower than I’d like, but it boosted my paperdoll dps about 50%. I figure another hour or so of ā€œHardā€ should put me in the gear I want for Torment.

My ā€œfreeā€ legendary from Malthael was unfortunately the one slot I have no intention of replacing unless I get the same item, but level 70; the Cloak of Garwulf. That thing is just too awesome to replace.

Are the blood shards a joke? Because they seem like a joke. The chance of getting anything useful is miserably low.

Ouch. My WD is 62 I think, and I would love to get to 70 (and beat Act V, of course). I’m playing on hard as well.

I think I will be running adventure mode on Normal until I get some half decent gear upgrades. My monk feels really underpowered right now, sitting at 140k damage and 1.2 million toughness. Really not sure what I’m doing wrong gear-wise, but it feels like everyone else is way ahead of me. I’ve had absolutely terrible luck with loot recently (as anyone who was in guild chat last night can attest to, see: marlowrt’s chat log). Seems like it might be better to just blast through a handful of bounties on normal to try to get some upgrades to bump those numbers up a little before tackling T1. What I’d really like to get is two decent single hand weapons, but all the decent weapon drops I get are 2H.

I’m also open to changing my skills around a bit. Not totally sold on what I’m running now:

Bit surprised you are not using the one with everything passive. Personally I’d go with a mystic ally as well.

I was using both One With Everything and Mystic Ally for a bit. I will probably throw One With Everything back in there at 70. Mystic Ally… meh. I’m not really sold on it.
