Din's Legacy: Din Again

Haha I hated that imp sound so much I dug into the sound files and replaced it with silent wav file :)

Hey everyone! Mostly just posting so I get updated when there are new posts. :)

Personally I’m glad it’s not a Drox sequel so will likely check this out soon. Not sold on the orc bits but the gameplay + better graphics should be enough.

At the bottom of the thread, you can switch the levels from tracking to watching. If you do that, you can get an update whenever there is a post, regardless if you posted or not.

If you need my axe you just let me know, Brian.

I’ve tried it a few different times and would love to love it, believe me!

TRY AGAIN.

Version 0.802 is out: changes. This patch fixes higher level monsters getting into low level areas, fixes some specialties not unlocking correctly, fixes some skills not showing correctly once you get over 40 skills, and fixes many other minor issues.

Version 0.803 is out: changes. This patch fixes more difficulty spikes, several collision issues, some multiplayer issues, limits ambushes, and fixes many other minor issues.

THANK GOD.

Seriously, I was getting ambushes on top of other ambushes. It was insaaaaaaaaaane.

I got an ambush within an ambush all within my starting area on a level one character; that was a fine start.

I’ve been playing another ARPG since before the release of the early access for Din’s Legacy was announced, so I haven’t tried this one myself, yet. But I’m curious about the mutation system. How are you guys liking it? I read a few dev posts at the official forums that talk a bit about it, and it sounds quite interesting. Things like having mutations do things like make your character permanently scared/affected by certain creatures going forward after being killed by one earlier in the game sounds like it opens up a lot of sandbox story telling I can enjoy as I plow through the world.

I tend to come up with ridiculous scenarios and explanations for things in games like Crusader Kings II and all the different traits people have and accumulate over time, and I think it would be cool if there were a similar reward for imagination here.

Loving it. You unlock more classes as you go too. My most leveled character was a minstrel/fire mage/paladin. SO FUN.

Version 0.804 is out: changes. This patch fixes some performance issues, fixes combos, adds reward chests, limits ambushes more, and fixes many other minor issues.

Damn.

Ambushes: the first limit was distance based, the second one is time based.

Version 0.805 is out: changes. This patch fixes an entity leak likely causing lots of problems, fixes a few crashes, rebalances several important things, and fixes many other minor issues.

Does it reduce ambushes? ;)

#sorrynotsorry

I did not change any of the ambush stuff for a change. :)
