Erik, bring Qvadriga to Steam and you’ve got a sale (and if you bring Hannibal, I may buy it a second time).

And bring Alea Jacta Est! It’s already been greenlit. Come to think of it, just get the whole catalogue on there!
I honestly don’t care about the expansion, it doesn’t interest me. I do love the game though and I’d like a steam key for my past support. I don’t think that’s out of line considering I really have paid over $100 for the game already.
How do you know a Steam key costs the developer nothing?

I believe the only thing that steam is going to carry is the Universe edition. That’s most likely why you need to buy Universe to get the steam key.

Because it’s been stated over and over again by multiple developers.
I hadn’t seen anything conclusive and thought it may depend on the individual developer contracts.

I think hepcat’s on the money - the only version of DW to be issued on Steam will be Universe.
The UoC guys gave me a link to a download from their page and a steam key because matrix wouldn’t post a patch for the game. That’s good CS. Matrix has never provided anything near that type of support from my perspective. It’s very frustrating considering the premium they charge for their games.

As someone mentioned, the other games are not being sold separately on Steam. If you want your games on Steam then you need to buy the expansion for $10. I don’t think that is asking too much. When you buy a game, you buy it “as is”. You don’t buy it with the expectation that you’ll get a future Steam key should said game eventually be released for the platform.
Yes. Unlike a ton of Matrix pricing decisions, the $10 for existing game owners to get a (admittedly, seemingly small) upgrade and a Steam key really does not bother me.

If the story they’re introducing in Universe eases me back into the game, allowing me to get back up to speed…or, to be more exact, up to a speed I never really had before…I’ll be happy enough.

Yeah, I haven’t played this since the expansion before last came out, which looks to be 2 years ago. I’ve been watching videos for nobs just to get back up to speed.
You are in the Chicago area?
I’ve offered through this thread to let anyone watch me play, since I’ve got way-too-many-100’s of hours into this game. Can I offer my tutoring without sounding internet creepy? :D

Thanks, that’s a kind offer and I may take you up on it if I hit a snag during my retraining. At the very least, I may pester you with some questions on the trade mechanic in the game.
You finally came to terms with being a nob? Good on you, old sport!
…oh…you mean noob.

The updated manual looks to be available on Steam now.
Awesome, such a great manual.
