FeedingFrenzy (Vanheim) - now that I actually have time to play on a regular basis again, I’ve started paying more attention to this game … not that it needed more before, things have been very quiet. It looks like there are five powers left: Mictlan, Abysia, Pangaea, Caelum, and me. Jotunheim has been repeatedly staling, Man is AI, and Machaka got set to AI after Mictlan and I between us reduced it to one province - capital, under seige, so that won’t last. It does raise the question of who’s going to get the global spell slot that will be left empty when Machaka finally goes down.

As best I can tell, everyone is sitting back, gathering strength in various forms. All is very very quiet.

You mean "don’t go after Bogus until you can charm him and his buddies", right?

btw - when you charm Fardregast (or however you spell that), he comes equipped with the tactical command “attack commander”.[/quote]
BOGGLE!!! - I wouldn’t have dreamt they’ve really implemented that option in the game. Good thing Illwinter didn’t give it to the doom horror. So far, that’s one killer ability the DHs don’t have.

They actually removed the order from the Dominions 1. The strategic AI can still use it however, so you’ll sometimes get arrows targeted straight at your commanders from it.

Thank you Mr Backov for heeding our cries and making sure the turns go off on time. It’s been good to get a couple of turns done at normal speed.

Meanwhile, I’ve been watching the heroic resistance of Machaka in their capital. They’ve defeated one assault and then kicked Vanheim out of thie province. Now the siege has been reimposed again, but has Vanheim sent enough force to take the castle this time?

Oh, and whoever it is that’s sending random Horrors into my territory, please stop. Or steps will have to be taken…

Oh, how history repeats itself.

Ah, to think back in fondness to the old days. When the previous C’Tis ruler whined so loudly about being the target of too many Hordes from Hell each turn.

The new C’Tis is all about giving. For example, this turn alone he gave me 8 Ghost Riders and about 10 Hordes (in a bit of a mixup, delivery was refused for 6 of the hordes - I try to explain to the statues about how fragile Imps are, but they just never seem to be listening). Actually, the GR count was a bit low this turn - perhaps he sent a few extra Man’s way.

Although the Pretender himself has not yet called, he did send some of his closest friends and advisors. Indeed, I can hear 2 AirQueens and 5 Tatarians knocking on the door of my fort. As I understand it, only 1 of the AQs is “unstoppable”.

The 215 Fiends of Darkness appear to be content with redecorating their new home. Perhaps this is but a pause while their leader gets new clothes. It does seem a bit distracting to have your 315-hp cyclops General teleport for home like a sissy at the 1st scratch from an earth elemental. Maybe something other than Armor of Virtue for him from now on.

Meanwhile, I have yet to even scratch C’Tis. Perhaps I’m doing something wrong here :?:

I am prosecuting the war as quickly as I can. The Fiend army actually had to stop to build a lab. Perhaps I should call it the “1st Fiend Army” instead of the “Fiend Army”. You know, to avoid confusion ;)

Wow that murdering winter did a number on my imps. Yikes! Well the Hordes from hell are pretty much a luxury at this point. They seem relatively ineffective…

Pretty much decimated my sauromancer squad. Maybe I should have put up a dome. Oh well!

The Ghost riders are doing alright, in terms of rampaging through the countryside, but they dont appear to be much mroe than a nuisance to you.

The Man front is possibly tipping in my favour, although its not exactly lightning warfare. That will be a looong war.

This thread’s been pretty buried!

Faeruntest: Turn 81! Atlantis has taken off the gloves and launched attacks on several Ctisian provinces with some ominiously large armies.

Now it is Man, Pythium, Atlantis vs Ctis and Ryleh (who seems to be struggling… I popped off a batch of ghostriders to support him 2 turns ago, hopefully it gave him some breathing room). AI Marignon remains an annoyance to all parties, and Caelum quietly expands his power base without picking sides. Pangea and Ermor, who knows what they are doing? Pangea at least seems to have staled repeatedly.

The “Molasses” offensive against Pythium proceeds apace. Two sent horrors were compeltely wasted against some unfortified provinces (note to self, Horrors get eaten alive by Angels). Mind Hunt attacks are picking up, though I imagine he will have to be cautious given the number of Shamans I have running about… apart from that Pythium has not really shown his teeth yet.

The Man front stagnates for the time being, apart from harrassing remote attacks on both sides.

I feel quite strong, but with Atlantis’s entry into the war I think the scales are starting to even out. A lot about Atlantis is unknown to me, except that he is BIG, probably the only empire that can rival mine in size.

The game is still interesting for me! I was worried about micromanagement hell, but I find I have been able to streamline my activities pretty well and keep my turns under 40 minutes… which is remarkable for an empire as huge as mine.

FaerunTest - Caelum

Ermor and Pangaea are humping each other in the north. I can see it happening from the line of forts and temples I threw up between me and them. I have a half dozen priests preaching their bunzes off in each province along the Ermor border, trying to keep death dominion from creeping south and killing all of my pplz. Meanwhile, Marignon AI does indeed continue to be a thorn in my side. Atlantis is pushing inland from the west, C’tis is pushing into Marignon from the east, and I’m coming from the north. I wonder if I will be popped like a zit.

Qt3FeedingFrenzy (Vanheim) - Jotunheim has finally gotten set to AI, so that’s the last of the idlers out of the way. That leaves us with 2 AIs and 5 real nations.

It’s been quiet in this game for a long time.

WorldWar - Machaka

Is Caelum still holding out? They are a tough batch of winged folk.

I sent two big armies after his big army last turn. Got tired of building up and I just want this game to end! I haven’t seen the results yet… :?

When you open the gates to my Wizard tower in Himalaya, your game will end! 8)

How’s the Feeding Frenzy game going?

Hehe, oh I get it… (I’m not laughing though!)

Slow but entertaining. Pangaea just whacked Jotunheim’s pretender.

Faeruntest: The wishing has begun (or at least started to impact me in a meaningful way). The gate stone has vanished in a puff of smoke! It was only a matter of time… with the Arcane Nexus running full blast I can only guess at Pythium’s astral income.

I guess we are going to find out just how significant an advantage Wish is!

I was hoping nobody would see that. This game has been going on so long (and so slowly, I hate this map), that I don’t remember who’s who. Are you Abysia or Caelum?

No seriously. You might think that these are the ramblings of a cornered mad-man standing on the edge of destruction. But I assure you, Caelum has cunning plans that will return us to our deserved place of world domination. If you agree to pull back to our pre-war borders immediately, I promise not to hurt you too much :P

He must be the slow-playing Abysia, since I am the slow playing Caelum :D
