Yeah, what the heck is going on over there in the Americas anyhow? I have no intel whatsoever. I’ll trade one gem of any type for a detailed report!
Ehem. No intel whatsoever?

The story of South America, as told by Montezuma.
Once there was a kingdom of happy people who lived in the Americas. They were particularly happy because their two starting province clusters were only a few turns away from each other (Mexico and Chile) so within the first 8 turns of the game they were joined together, one nation under Blood (magic). In South America there was the quiet, sleepy people of the Amazon basin, the goatmen. They were so quiet because their king, who lives far away across the sea didn’t know they were even there, at least until about turn 15. But, the people of Montezuma didn’t harrass the goatmen because there were plenty of independents to sacrifice. But, later, around turn 20, the Spaniards arrived, and the happy people grew sad. Wicked amazon women riding lizards, supported by men in armor carrying halbards, attacked the happy people, and many died. But, the first attack, probably led by the crazy blonde guy from that Dutch movie, made the mistake of attacking deep into my kingdom and we cut them off and ate their livers and hearts (yum!).
But, the happy people were not able to drive the Marignonians out of south america, and they came back with many more amazons and knights. We implored the goatmen to help us, but sadly we have not seen any assistance. Even now the invaders are tearing down the walls to one of our most beautiful cities, and we fear for those left inside. A great and horrible anger wells up within our hearts, and the people of Mictlan seek a vengeance that only the bards of Hell will be able to fashion songs about.

I’m due a gem too!
My Machaka lawyers are still deciding if your intel is worth a gem.
QT3-LavaLamp (Caelum)
It is absolutely sick what massed seraphs scripted for quickness/lightning can do. Once I get the research, I plan to dabble in quickness/false horror as well. My seraph hit squad picked off the marignon red dragon pretender in an ugly battle that I don’t think either of us were expecting. Would have been a sweeter win for me if my mammoths hadn’t routed right through my high seraphs.
QT3-Backov-Cradle (Ermor)
Resurgent Ulm knocked me backwards and took one of my castles! This is unacceptable and the generals in charge of defense have been beheaded, inhumed, exhumed, put on the atkins diet, and frozen in carbonite. New generals with heavy reinforcements have been dispatched to reconquer the lost territory.
Conquest of the worlds oceans is almost complete. With the underwater superhighway to shuffle armies around, my empire is looking good.
Qt3-Noob-Aran (Atlantis)
The stale turns from Man have kept me alive. I managed to put up a sea of ice to stem my underwater losses and am positioned to retake some oceans. With the ice seas as a defense, I may stick around in this one for quite a while longer.
qt3jm-rainbow(ermor): I´m throwing a big party and all my neighbours are invited.
qt3aranwars: Jotunheim is huge, but he hasn´t figured out how to kill my hydras yet.

Qt3-JM-Hardcore (Vanheim) - Vengeance, of a sort, is mine, as the Wind Lord and his sylphs bow to the pressure of superior money (every red cent I had), defecting from Caelum to join my ranks - and joining in a region where I was wondering where I was going to find some good troops to deal with one of those paratrooper incursions.
Also, the Allfather’s passage through the Stygian abyss seems to have healed his missing eye! If it wasn’t for the three different paths of magic that he lost a level in, I’d almost say it was worth it.
WHAT??!!?? How can he be the All Father with TWO eyes?? Talk about Pretenders! Bring back the old cyclops version!

So how many Seeking Arrows will it take to poke out that other eye again? :D
I thought those arrows only did chest wounds?

Yep. The Allfather starts with a missing eye. Odin was said to have given it up at the well of mumblemumbleIdontremember for wisdom and a glimpse of the future. I don’t know what the scholarly consensus is on this, but it always seemed to me to be a sacrificial act on behalf of humanity - he gave up his eye in return for knowledge to help on the day of Ragnarok.

Pssst…I was being facetious.
Apparently not obviously enough, though. :P
Bah, you apparently don’t take your dom2 seriously enough! I just had “clam hoard” tattoed on my ass this last weekend. It was a toss up between that and “Rywill’s Biotch” but I figured “clam hoard” would be more intimidating if I ever went to prison.
qt3:jm-rainbow(ermor) : both tien chi and aeroscophale had to leave the party at my home early. Well at least tien chi left me a present, the enourmous cauldron of broth. thanks man. come back whenever you wish.

QT3-JM-Rainbow (Arcoscephale) - Ahem there, I seem to recall killing your pretender, despite being run out of town. My mundane Hyps killed the Vamp Queen, so I’m pretty happy :). Isn’t she out of the game for a few turns now?

Vamp Queen? Ermor? Maybe it’s a Lich Queen? I thought a couple of patches ago the game was changed so Ermor can’t get the vamp queen as a pretender.
Regardless of which of those two it is, if the battle was inside Ermor dominion, killing her was largely wasted effort. Immortals killed inside friendly dominion show up automatically back in the capital with no loss of abilities the very next turn, so she’ll be bugging you again very soon.
Q23 - Tyrande: (Man) Broke through and took the Ermorian Capital, but I lost some stacks to a miscommunication with Vanheim.
Q23 - Aran Wars: (C’tis) There seems to be WAR all around me. Everyone’s fighting the Jotuns? Man vs Abysia vs Ulm? Nabbed a spy in my capital.
